I'm really confused why a team short on talent and scoring needs to automatically give up our most talented healthy player who is one of our best scorers.
Maybe instead of dump our best player we should keep our best player?
Meanwhile joakim noah and jimmy butler are sadly considered untouchable by many fans.

I've echoed that same thing in regards to Deng and his value because of his unrestricted free agent status, but there are teams that could take a gamble, and it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Look at the Sixers did with Bynum, and yeah, perhaps that takes the Sixers out of the running for teams to call, but all I'm saying is that you put out that carrot, get Deng's agent involved to do a side agreement in terms of resigning with that team after the season and then you have a deal.
It's not the most ideal situation in terms of negotiations go, at least in favor of the Bulls, but in terms of getting at least something of value for him, it's possible, but we'll likely have to move fast because by trading deadline most of bad teams faith in the season would likely be gone and they'd probably already be preparing for the lottery. We need to act now, and act fast and take advantage of some of the crappy teams willingness to turn things around.
