Would Memphis do a Randolf 4 Bargnani/Smith Swap. Memphis gets a better fit in Bargnani at the 4 with Gasol and Smith as a scoring option off the bench they could really use.... Knicks get a low post presence and rebounder next to Melo and Chandler when he gets back

Good trade for both teams...

Chandler/Amare/Aldrich
Randolph/Martin/Tyler
Melo/MWP/Brown or Stevenson
Shump/THJ/Murry
Felton/Prigs/Udrih

Gasol
Bargs
Prince/Smith
Allen/Smith
Conley

I'd like to the Knicks give this core more time I think it's way too early to give up on some of the guys

I still think they're a dark horse title contender remember it's not how you look in November/December it's how you look in April/May/June

How about Amare and Shumpert for Boozer and Deng? Bulls are probably ready to do a fire sale and this move brings them under the tax.

At this point the best we can do is try and get a mid to late first round pick in a stacked draft and change the identity of this by getting guys who play hard every night and are tough-minded and defensive minded.

Nobody is giving you a decent pick unless you deal Melo.

we're not getting rondo for that. hell, when the little rumors were concocted by the writers, the only thing we heard from the other side was that they'd gladly take stoudemire for wallace (who has one more year than stat) it's going to take a miracle to get melo his wingman. and by miracle, i mean a **** load of draft picks.

Well, I said "and pieces". You never know, Boston has enough draft picks for the future and maybe they can just get players

the pieces we have aren't enticing enough. they'd sooner trade draft picks (and their garbage) for melo then trade rondo for our garbage.

So where is Rondo ending ? Remember that he wont sign a new contract if Boston will dump him in a team he doesn't like it

Rondo's a headcase. You can't deal him to a place he doesn't want to be at since he'll bolt next season. Who's in a position to go after Rondo and can give a better deal than STAT + Felton + Shumpert + 2018 pick for Rondo, Lee, Wallace and Bass?

This deal brings Boston under the tax right now and saves them at least $35M over the next 3 years. It also gives them assets in Shumpert, Felton (bargain contract) and a huge expiring in Amare. nobody in the league can offer them this much cap relief.

it's boston. he's not going anywhere. time and again ainge has said as much. and after this season, they'll be under the cap. this isn't some penny pinching small market team we're talking about here.

Knicks Trade: Iman Shumpert
Knicks Receive: Rudy Gobert and 2014 2nd Round Pick

Jazz Trade: Rudy Gobert and 2014 2nd Round Pick
Jazz Receive: Iman Shumpert

-Knicks get to develop a young, energy-big, who has looked fluid in his movement and has played pretty good in the little time he's seen the court. AND get to add an additional asset with what looks to be an early 2nd Rounder.

-Jazz puts Shumpert at the 2 in between a very talented young core of players in Burke/Hayward/Kanter/Favors.
Chicago Bulls

PG: Kemba Walker / T.Rozier / B.Wannamaker
SG: Donte DiVincenzo / T.Ross / P.Connaughton
SF: Kawhi Leonard / R.O’Neale / Caleb Martin
PF: Draymond Green / B.Portis / A.Aminu
C: Jonas Valanciunas / M.Harrell / F.Kaminsky

At this point the locker room is such a mess that a shake is needed top to bottom...Amare, JR, Woodson are 3 essentials that need to be shipped out ASAP...

NY- Humphries, Wallace, 2nd Rd pk
Bos- Amare + Dont ever comeback card

NY- Jackson, Thabo
OKC- JR, Felton

NY- $ .25
Nigeria- Mike Woodson

This year is just about lost.

Next year at least we have a pick followed by lots o’ cap room so the goal should be to get a high pick:

Specific things Knicks could do to tank next year:

-Deal Melo soon or in the summer for a pick. Probably won’t.

-Deal Tyson. Possible.

-Keep Felton as the starting point guard and don’t upgrade that position at all.

-Most importantly, make JR Smith the starter and play him 40 minutes a night.

-Keep marginalizing Shumpert.

Maybe some of those guys who are supposed to be in the lottery this season will wait because they want a less crowded field? Wishful thinking I guess. Would be nice if one or two of them stayed out.

Getting a really good lottery pick will help us use that cap room to maximum effect. Keep hope alive.

Knicks are due to draw an inside straight: Exum waits a year, Knicks tank, get the top pick and X, LeBron joins him at MSG. Yes we can. :onfire:

Is it bad to continue hitting refresh in the hopes of reading about a change within the organization? Ionno, a trade, a coach firing/retiring, owner passing...

I hate being a Knick fan today.
