Or maybe your being a bit delusional to think we should just bend over and let other teams rape us for a 2x all star. OKC got a 1st round pick for a player that at the time was not even better than Deng so why should we just settle for less. If we trade Deng you should be getting a 1st rounder this year along with a young guy or an unwanted contract.

We're not getting a 2014 first rounder for Deng, I don't know how else to tell you.

If that's your opinion than cool but I see it the other way around.

Teams like the Wizards, Cavs, and Lakers could potentially offer their 2014 1st Round Picks for Deng. As long as Deng is performing and one of the teams is committed on trying to make the playoffs.

The question of picks is getting too heated in my opinion - especially since it is a battle of opinions, nothing more.

And, frankly, I think the answer is in between. I could see a contending team that thinks Deng might "put them over the top" trading salary and a late first (in the 20s) even in next year's draft for Deng. It really would depend on the team and their needs and management, though - for instance I couldn't really see Houston making the move even though they have the need, because of Morey.

But a lottery pick in this particular draft is likely much too much to give up for a potential late-season / playoff rental.

I don't understand how people say this when we just saw a trade for a worse player (who is also expiring) fetch a 2014 first round pick (Gortat) a month ago. We're talking about a 2 time all star, and you think there is no way we could get a late 1st rounder? All it takes is one GM worried about keeping his job. Let's just be honest, no one really knows.

For the Wolves to not at all wait on Deng makes me think the Bulls gave them an unequivocal flat no, instantly.

Moute is a bad Deng.

You have a couple teams desperate to get into the playoffs and those teams are more than willing to give up a 1st rounder this year. I think we undervalue Deng severely if we think he cannot snatch us a pick.

This is a new CBA, trading first rounders for players are a thing of the past. Clueless. The only way we are getting a first rounder for Deng is if we take on salary beyond this year which is obviously something the Bulls are not going to do.

How come did they trade their first round picks for Hill and Sessions, in that same new CBA?
You really should stop with this nonsense.

No way ORL does that. Tobias was an 18p/8.5r guy for them last year. Injured right now, but he's a key piece to their future.

The Suns took back and extra $7 mil in salary in the deal with Okafor's expiring, they could do that because they were way under the cap, the Bulls can't do that because they're over.

I also wonder if we could trade Deng to the cavs for their pick and dion waiters or jarret jack. Maybe even take Anthony Bennet if he continues to struggle.

I think they gave it away as part of the Steve Nash trade.

But the Bulls can take crap players that the other team doesn't want.

They traded their 2015 1st rounder to PHX, which means they can't trade the 2014 pick.

We're not getting a 2014 1st for Deng.

They also had Dwight Howard, they were going for it, and it was an awful deal in retrospect. And the new CBA didn't kick in until the year after.
