Drummond is almost Davis' equal as a player if we look only at his impact in the half court, where his size and agility continue to remind people of Shaq. He simply dominates in the paint by having the proper mindset, which is to force opponents to deal with his big body in front of the rim all game long.

He'd be even more effective if his teammates looked for him more often, which they will learn to do with more film study and coaching. This will result in better production for Drummond and the Pistons as the season unfolds.

I think the key is that Drummond has more strength and physical tools than Davis. I like Davis but he is a tall lanky guy. Drummond has more of a Dwight Howard body and can bang with the big boys down low. If Drummond developed legit post moves, he will be better than Davis most likely.

Drummond's stats look like Deandre Jordan's so far. Not saying that's how good he is, but still.

I know Davis is having an all-star year. My point was that if Drummond improved that he could become better than Davis. I think Drummond has the potential to be better than Dwight. Drummond also has a more physical body than David. I still think Davis is rather lanky. Looks a lot like Tyson Chandler when he first came in the league.

Davis is avg. 19.4/10.6/1.6/3.8/1.5 on 50 fg% and 85 ft% with 23.1% usage. and

Drummond is avg. 12.1/11.9/.4/1.4/1.9 on 65 % fg% and 24.1 % ft ( I think his ft % will increase once teams start fouling him more I think he can get to 60 % with work ( on 14.3% usage.
He is obviously far behind FT and score less on fewer usage and higher efficiency, steals are similiar and his blocks are down but he averaged 2.8 last year so it should go back up when he learns when to use his energy a lot better 10 +mpg jump is huge

Drummond has already shown that he's been working on his game in the post. He has that nice hook that he's been able to hit. Player development takes time and with Drummond only being 20 with no real go to move, putting up 12 and 12 is still really good.
