The rookie scale gets a big bump up the last year(nearly $1 million). Singleton's option is for more than the BAE and Vesley's is over 4 million. Even with declining the option, the Wizards would retain bird rights(although I think they become un-restricted free agents).
Even if you see upside in the players, I don't think a rational analysis would put their value above their option prices. So if they did perform this season, they could be locked in at potentially a low deal vs. them increasing their value and getting a bigger deal in after the final year.

Sorry, but I had to necro-bump this.

I saw his name in the box score, but realistically did not notice him much on the floor...even in garbage time. Anyone get a feel for how he looked tonight?
