Re: Game 16: Suns @ Jazz
Tucker needs to go! He is taking minutes from Marcus, Green, and Goodwin. We had to put Plumlee on the bench just to get Marcus and Green in, going small.
Dragic/Bledsoe
Bledsoe/Goodwin/Green
Green/Marcus/Tucker
Frye/Kief
Plumlee/Frye/Len
.....where the hell is Len?!
Green has "EARNED" his time over Tucker.

Totally. Both guys are great individually but together, one suffers significantly is seems.
I like Goran, but Bledsoe is/will be better. They both had 19 pts a piece..... I think they'll get it together. Goran was p'd when Bled jack upped that three and Goran was wide open in the corner

If we were in the east and the season ended today, we'd be the 3 seed facing Charlotte in the first round.

The east ought to be ashamed of themsleves. They are horrible continually; they draft top players year after year and waste the players careers thats why the nba needs contraction! You dont have to tank to get good players and they dont have to go to places like Charlotte

Well, at a minimum they should just let the top 16 records make the playoffs instead of top 8 in each conference. If they did top 16, the 8 first round playoff matchups would be:
Indiana vs Minnesota
San Antonio vs Chicago
Portland vs Golden St
Miami vs LA Lakers
OKC vs Atlanta
Clippers vs Memphis (of course)
Phoenix vs Houston
Dallas vs Denver
That doesn't look so bad.

Personally I think Dragic is / will be better. Goran's problem is that he allows Bledsoe to take/do whatever he wants and run the show..and Bledsoe's personality is winning out in that situation. Goran's numbers are better than Bledsoe's when comparing the time that each of them sat out. What you mentioned of Bled ignoring wide open Dragic is a perfect ex. of what I'm talking about.

Re: Game 16: Suns @ Jazz
It's obvious in the way that Eric plays, that he's playing for a contract.
Goran is evidently the superior playmaker and Eric is the superior defender. Both can be core pieces surrounded by the correct complements.
For example, I would think Archie would be the ideal backcourt mate to Goran as he is long, athletic and potentially a defensive pest. With Eric, I would see Green being the better fit as he can spread the floor for Eric's penetration.
When Goran's shooting is on though, and there is no opposing dominant big guard to exploit the lack of size, there's nothing to suggest the two can't coexist for short spurts.

Well, one thing for certain, we are much better team when at least one of them is on the floor. 24 mins each at PG... then let the rest shake out. They, with the help of the coaches will figure out how to coexist on the court. I did notice at one point last night, I goran didn't touch the ball in 3 or 4 offensive sets... and as soon as he did, he jacked a tough 3.
What ? Me Worry ?

P.J. Tucked played great defense against Hayward. Green can not defend like him or near his level.
Hornacek knows one or two things about that game named basketball, this is the reason why Tucker plays around 30 minutes per game with our roster.

That's called Alpha male and Goran doesn't have it, that is why he will always be hit and miss with more hits. If Goran plays like he did against the Blazers or Utah in the first half every game (I mean with the drive and determination and meanness) he would be better. But that is a trait of the athlete. That has to be included when evaluating his skill set; see Beasley, Wes Johnson, and any other naturally passive athlete.
Goran is who he is. Bledsoe WANTS t take over the game.....his possible failure be damned and that is what you need.

Tucker defense??!! Being scrappy doesn't define defense. Tucker is a turd athlete. Tucker can't jump or run. He isn't long nor does he alter shots. He just tries to play defense and looks good at that! Tucker has been a starter for a long time now, where is he at when people are talking about DPOY? I have never heard anyone outside of this board discuss Tucker as being so good defensively you don't need offense from him. Green plays good defense and our team is better when he is on the court.
You act as if Tucker is Raja Bell or something. Tucker is a stellar defender only on these boards. People are always looking to rationalize his playing time by talking about his defense. Tucker doesn't shut people down. Hayward was taking out of the game because his team sucks.
Tucker over Green

If Tucker is not a good defender, why would he even be out there playing 30+ minutes night in and night out. I guess because of his great offensive game

Do you think Hornacek can't tell the difference between someone playing D and someone just being scrappy? Why does he always put him on the opponents best offensive player?
Tuckers defensive ability is the only freaking reason he's in this league at all.

He was shooting something like 55% on corner threes before yesterday.

I don't know man...Durant said Tucker was a brutal match up for him last year. I'd wager if he feels that way others feel the same. He isn't Bruce Bowen, but who is?

It's like we have two different teams run by two very different leaders.
I'm not sure what to think of it, but let's see what the record looks like.

I like Goran but he seems to always suck when he plays against good defensive players that pressure him. It's like he forgot how to handle the ball all of a sudden.
Then of course next game he comes back with a ridiculous 30/10 game or something like that.

Why does Goodwin barely get minutes? We can't develop Len so at least we could develop our other rookie.

Tucker is in the league because he is a dirt worker. He is a high energy guy that always gives 100%, but do not confuse high energy with elite defense. Tucker is a good defender, but he is not a great one by any stretch...

Disagree entirely. Thank god that everybody isn't an "alpha male" or there would be no such thing as team basketball. That is, given your idiotic dumb **** logic.
