what a game. made a makeshift game thread and I'm glad for it. now the real challenge is coming our way and we could be without both of our starting guards, against 15 and 1 pacers. let's go clippers!
ehhhhh f it.

I just hope they play hard against the Pacers.I'm suspecting no Paul and Redick again and a win will almost be impossible.

that's up to jamal. i can easily see our front office picking up his option for the next 2 seasons. after that, it is up to him.

i've been wanting to trade him for a legit 3rd big, but now i am warming up to the idea of a 5 mil a year 6th man who plays the role of "vinny the microwave johnson".

we still need to pick up a legit 3rd big tho. free agents who are currently available, are ivan johnson, lamar odom, and jason collins. ivan is playing in chinese league and won't be available, and jason collins is more like a 4th or 5th big, so it's really about the crackhead. we need to sign him, drama or not.
ehhhhh f it.

i think the pacers are good, but overrated. they do play in east, and don't think they match up well against us. hibbert vs DJ is a doable, griffin vs west is in our favor, hill and stevenson aren't necessarily a dominant pair even if we are going with collison and green to start with jamal coming off the bench. they are of course the favorite, but we have a chance.

remember, they are coming to our house, not the other way around. their away game wins were against teams like detroit, brooklyn, new york, boston, and charlotte. the bulls beat them in chicago, we can beat them.

The Pacer game will be a good test for both teams. Indiana has the best record in the league, but also the softest schedule according to Basketball-Reference. We otoh have had the 5th toughest schedule. Of the top 10 toughest schedules, only OKC (9th) has a better record.

If we have our starting guards back, then I like our chances. If they both miss the game or if we're without Paul, then it's going to be really tough for us.

I've read that Johnson is on the radar and could be a possibility once the CBA season is over. I'd like to see us go after him if we're unable to get some big that may be bought out. I'd still also add Odom if he has shown that he's still clean at that time. Update--apparently he and his agent are meeting with the Clippers next week.

Some MMLE-MLE players that will be available: Elton Brand, Jason Smith, Chris Kaman, Jordan Hill (may price himself out of our range), Emeka Okafor, Spencer Hawes (probably won't be able to afford him), Greg Stiemsma and possibly Samuel Dalembert.

with all the butthurt statements made by kaman, i have to believe he wants to come back and retire as a clipper. i can see him fitting in nicely as a 3rd big coming off the bench. he can rebound, and make the mid range to space the floor when in there with DJ.

Ivan and Kaman would be a strong consideration combo if both can come very cheap. Lakers may just cut bait with Kaman.

I hate DMC with a passion. Glad our bench stepped up and pulled this one out.
