Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

You might as well be rooting for Utah bro if you want a top 5 pick or Suns they have 3 1st round picks alone
^ You fans who are rooting for the draft have rocks in your head
F the draft ...
Let's go Lakers

Exactly, it get's tiring seeing those same type of low confidence post. Yes Portland is having a heck of a season so far, they have improved dramatically. But it's not like we can't play with them. Do people really even watch the Lakers ? We've only been smoked twice all season and those losses came off of back to backs where we won the 1st games against teams the media had us pegged for losses.lakerRD wrote:Please have some faith.
Folks are talking like we have no chance.
Portland is a good team but their schedule has been a little soft. Their only quality wins are against the Spurs and GSW.
Lillard is the key.
Our guards have to stay in front of him. If he gets to the rim repeatedly, it will be a long night.
Aldridge is great but is mainly a jump shooter. Pau has to push him out as much as he can.
We have to control the boards and limit turnovers.
I think we've got a great shot at this one. We're at home, playing with a lot of confidence and great chemistry.

Styles make games, Portland wants to slow it down and execute from the halfcourt. We want to push tempo but we can also still play in the halfcourt when Pau asserts himself. The key will be for the Lakers not to give Portland easy shots by not turning it over. You're not going to stop Aldridge or Lillard from getting theirs but we can limit others.
