I have this dream that one day, after graduating with my law degree and M.B.A. in Sports Administration, I am hired by the Los Angeles Lakers in a nice position and move out to Los Angeles. How awesome would that be?

I thought Ice was a heat fan? I'm confused.

Also LA the city sucks ass. County is better.

Neophyte... If I was single and could afford it, I'd live in Downtown LA in a heartbeat... I worked downtown for a couple years and loved walking around... I was finding hidden gems of restaurants and little bars all the time...

Plus I was able to walk to Staples and experience 2 Lakers Parades without missing (much) work.

A lot to do, close to everything, culture and soul... But like every other big city, a little dirty, crowded and scary at night.

I had a teenager waiting at a bus stop pull a box cutter on me... So you never know what you'll find down there. But I hear they're cleaning it up quite a bit.

Walk far enough and you will find skid row. Let me know how much you like it there.
edit. I used to work in downtown and the lofts are ok to live in, but they are so close to bad areas and a lot of homeless people frequent the area.

You know long before you get to skid row that you're in a bad area, and from a personal safety point of view, Skid Row ain't that bad during the day... Point being, wtf would you go to Skid Row for?

I have yet to find a place where homeless people don't frequent, and the few places that run them out, don't have anything to make you want to come there for in the first place... San Marino, etc...

If you don't leave the suburbs, it really doesn't matter where you live... They're all the same.

Yes, LA needs another lawyer as much as LA needs an NFL football team. Please come.

When I was still living in LA and had the chance to go to Downtown LA, I like what they were doing with LA Live and around Staples and the LACC. Would love to live there if I could afford it.

But now that I'm in Vietnam, I wouldn't want to come back.

I lived closed to San Marino. That place is really nice but boring. I never had a chance to trick or treat there.

If you don't like it maybe you should look for a change of scenery. Sometimes you don't appreciate what you have until you don't have it anymore.

this is not at all why LA sucks, there are **** areas in every major city.

i dont like LA because the cost of living is stupid high and the people are really fake. when you compare the people you meet in LA to people from the midwest/east its like night and day. i think its the weather, having to live through cold seasons makes it harder to be a fake douchebag.
