Him and Anthony Davis are going to rule this bigman era in the next 4 years.

The two ADs era.

the Pelicans were 1 pick away from having both of them, how scary would that have been.

Ehh, I guess he's okay if you like athletic big men who get lots of rebounds and points off of dunks...

I don't even want to imagine that. That would easily be one of the greatest of all time.

I mean yeah but he was NEVER getting away from the Pistons. So it was more so like so close but so far away.

If Andre can shoot 50-60% at the line, he will be the best Center in the league by year 4.

And everyone would be complaining to trade Cousins because he's even worse on defense than Moose is.

I figured it was close enough to mention, the Pels were a couple of wins here or there away from possibly owning the league for the next decade plus.

Pistons could have a starting 5 of Ty Lawson/Klay Thompson/Paul George/Josh Smith/Andre Drummond

Just sayin

Yeah, let's overreact to one good game against one of the dredges of the NBA!

He's been a very nice player so far this season.

For most of this season he has been worse than he was last season. He is just now playing up to the potential he showed last year.

I think Andre can have a game or two like this everyone month.

I love the Pistons. I hate the ownership, management and 90% of the roster. But, I'll always desire to see the Pistons atop the NBA mountain. I like Drummond, but some of the shine has certainly worn off. I think he's going to be a good player, but I have my doubts about him being a future hall of famer.

People are happy about his big game. I suppose there's some overreaction, but man, is it fun to rain on the parade? At least in this game we got what a lot have been asking for from AD. He played with more aggression and force. I like it that he didn't want to make nice after stealing the ball from Evans and getting fouled. I also like to say that this "he's been worse than last year" is just silly. He's starting and playing against front line players this year. He's also being played differently. Not only are teams more conscious of blocking him out, but in many instances are holding him to keep him from rebounds and contesting shots. Kid is making progress.

Odd thing to say after he puts up a historic game that only Hakeem and Barkely have replicated. Which is why you 're coming off as a hater. Just saying... if you can't get excited for Drummond's potential after a game like this... :dontknow:

The stat line may compare favorably tonight against Hakeem, or Sir Charles, but the skill level does not. All of his buckets were easy dunks and put-backs. He isn't a low post scoring machine by any stretch of the imagination.

He has amazing raw skill due to his athleticism. But, he still has a long way to go in developing the basketball skills that will allow Detroit to run their offense through him and carry a team to wins.

I don't feel like I'm being critical. I'm not saying anything everybody doesn't already know. He had a great game, but it was against one of the worst front line's in all of the NBA.

Return to Detroit Pistons
