I have no clue why they put Salmons on Curry. I mean, technically, Salmons is our "best" perimeter defender but dude sucks when guarding quick guards. Should have have Thomas guard Curry on that last possession.

I'm not going to take Cousins' performances this season for granted. He's unstoppable.

Yeah, but Isaiah "hero ball" Thomas thinks otherwise.

Yeah, Cousins ripped Bogut a new one today.

The only way to get Cousins off his game is to get under skin!

The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors have played 371 times.
The Kings won 185 games and the Warriors won 186 games.

I was also surprised of how cuz played tonight..i expected him to have a bad night, but he proved me wrong.. 10/13 from the field was a good sign... I thought he was going to explode in a bad way in that game as well...

When thornton is making most of his shots it somehow negates his chucking mode..

Ppatt played great game as well..didn't even notice his points but he had 18 pts on 8/8 fg 2/2 3pt 7 rebs...

Isaiah is the type of player you love for his heart and hustle but you just hate his decision makings and the hero ball mentality that can win or lose games... 7 turnovers didn't help at all....

Yeah, Cousins ripped Bogut a new one today.

The only way to get Cousins off his game is to get under skin!

Full credit to Cousins, a really good comeback game after being beaten a couple of times in a row by Bogut, he clearly won the matchup tonight. I suspect Malone gave him some help with his close knowledge of Bogut's defense - really the only way to get Bogut off balance defensively is to hit a couple of 15-20 foot jumpers early, Bogut is very reluctant to leave the paint because his instinct is always to be in a position to help on team defense, something he does exceptionally well. If you can hit a few long jumpers on him early you can then get him into no mans land a bit, and Cousins did just that very well tonight.

Bogut still made some big plays including the game winning block when he was doing exactly what I described above, but Cousins took the personal matchup.

As for the 'getting under his skin' thing, Bogut definitely gets under his skin but I feel like Cousins puts him there. All Bogut does is play tough physical D and for some reason Cousins really takes that as a personal insult, particularly when he doesn't get whistles. Even that collision tonight, Bogut is coming forward to try to defend the long court pass and stop the break, Cousins is trying to run down the floor and get in on the break, neither guy is looking at each other and they collide - yet for some reason Cousins gets way hot under the collar and gets lost for a play while Bogut just brushes himself off. I feel like Cuz has taken being beaten in a few matchups with Bogut very personally - that kind of banging on D happens in literally every single game so it's weird watching one guy look angry about it from the first minute to the last.

Anyway tough loss, just wanted to drop in and say good performance by Cousins after I'd praised Bogut in a thread with you after their previous matchups. :D

I still believe Bogut is the best interior defender in the NBA. His defensive IQ is off the charts. His defensive awareness on the last play where he blocked Isaiah was awesome.

Anyways, about the play where they collided (the play where Cousins fell down); it was definitely intentional in my eyes. From what I recall, Bogut took a glimpse of Cousins and struck a forearm at Cousins. I could see why Cousins went ape**** afterwards.

I think the front on camera showed pretty clearly that Bogut's eyes were firmly fixed on the guy passing the ball (McLemore from memory) and he was raising his hands to try to stop the outlet pass - he's running in a direct line at the passer when they collide and quite possibly blocks the pass without the collision. It was right beside the ball and not one of the refs thought it was intentional if that tells you anything, yet there were a ton of off-the-ball fouls called in the game. Having watched a lot of Bogut I'm confident it wasn't intentional, he'll get right up in someones jersey defending them or if he feels wronged but he's not the cheap shot type, if he wants to have a crack at someone he'll do it to their face.

If it's Steph Curry and John Salmons do we still think it's deliberate?

Anyway it's probably just the difference between you being a Cousins fan and me being a Bogut fan :D

You could be right but I have to re-watch it again to make sure. The Kings' feed showed at least two angles of the collision between them. It looked deliberate imo. Who knows.

I was watching the Kings feed - I didn't think your callers covered themselves in glory suggesting the league should be looking at it for suspensions ;)

You're right though, tough to be sure either way, mine's more of a gut feel knowing the way Bogut operates.
