Ahmad Brooks fined 16K?

Post#1 » by LAKESHOW » Wed Nov 20, 2013 9:55 pm

This is going overboard. The call wasnt even a penalty. A bad call to begin with. Basically a short guy gettin rapped up by a tall guy. And so it looks bad. But not 16k worthy.

I love how that Brooks hit on Brees is a 15 yard penalty and a fine but this play doesn't even draw a flag.

I'm no conspiracy theorist but the fact that the same team has been on the winning side of both of these calls makes me stop and think.

I'm stilled pissed over that bs...Matt Ryan gets hit the exact same way by the Saints this past Thursday and nothing was called, FOH...It's obvious that the NFL has favorites and the Saints is on the top of that list smh

Yea, we're totally the favorites, like that time we lost our coach for a full season and multiple draft choices, but no one else did when other players came out and admitted it happens all around the league

Well, because there was so much evidence for those other teams and not just hearsay...

And there was so much evidence that the league "favorite" got a way worse punishment than team's that have been caught openly cheating.

As said above, we got the hammer dropped on us...which I still feel was disproportionate for the crime--and suddenly we're the favorites after one beneficial call?

Look at the league favorite treatment we got against the Patriots:

I'm not complaining about it--that's just the way the things go in this game sometime--but just wanted to show the ridiculous nature of what you guys are saying. And for the record, I fully believe that hit on Brees was a penalty. Doesn't matter what the intent was or how short Drew Brees is, the rules are the rules--and he clearly finished above his neck--how else does his chin start bleeding? I will admit that Matt Ryan hit should've gotten a penalty, too.

teams should just get midgets to play qb and flag their way into the endzone imo

This is one of those calls where they retroactively explain it. If you hit a guy and he goes down, at SOME point you are going to come into contact with his upper body. As they said in the FSU-Duke game, there's just no way to not have that happen once a player starts to collapse under you, unless you hit him below his center of gravity.
