Simple trade: NO/Bucks: Rivers for Udoh

Post#1 » by mhd » Tue Dec 3, 2013 4:23 am

Pelicans trade Austin Rivers for Ekpe Udoh

WHY FOR THE BUCKS?
1) Its obvious they are rebuilding. They need a dynamic young guard and RIvers will get all the PT he can handle in NO.

WHY FOR THE PELICANS?
1) They need a big who is defensive minded, especially with the Davis injury. RIvers is burried on the depth chart, and with Gordon, Evans, and Holliday, RIvers won't get much PT.

Looks good to me. Bucks might as well take a chance on Rivers, and they don't need Udoh. And Udoh is a good big New Orleans needs.

A resounding yes, I would even throw in the Bucks lowest 2nd rd pick if need be;)
The roll the dice kind of deal the Bucks need to make.

Agreed. Like it. Can Udoh contribute though?

He'll always give great team defense, and decent man defense. He has god awful hands, has no offensive game to speak of really, and cant rebound to save his life for a big man. He is what he is though and that's a solid backup PF who can give some spot minutes at C. He's a smart player who offers some nice defense so there's value there for sure. He also does all the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet, he's really good at boxing out for instance. Teams tend to rebound better when he's on the floor even though he is a sorry rebounder himself.

I like this trade for both teams as a Milwaukee fan.

Great trade but I have a feeling NOP says no and are hoping to develop Rivers into the player they drafted him as
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Makes a ton of sense and I think both teams agree but the Pelicans might need the Bucks to throw in a 2nd to seal the deal.

Wow. I haven't seen a trade this universally accepted ever. It makes a lot of sense. I like it for Milwaukee.

I would do it only because I think Rivers sucks but Udoh is gone one way or another soon.

Yep can never have too many crappy guards on the tank, trading away one of the only defenders on the team is just gravy.

Yep. Bad players are welcome here.
