Tucker and Green are killing you guys aren't they ....

You Goodwhiners refuse to even acknowledge anything good from the success a few of our players are having, given the minutes. we are playing competitive and look to exceed the wins projected. Oh My.

You exasperatingly question why Archie is not getting minutes.

Do you have faith in Hornecek or not. For your questioning is more directed at him.

So do you trust what the coaching staff does ? Do you have faith in the way they are developing our youngsters, in what you have seen in the 17 games so far... yes, all of 17 games.... not even a quarter of the season.

You do know archie is locked up for the next 4 yrs right ? We have utilized his skills for less than 1/16 of the time he will be with us. Yet, its a shame he isn't playing more.

Jeeeezz .... cry me a river.

And come on.... sticks and stones right ? surely you picked that up along the way somewheres...
'Bullying' hahahahaha.... see the difference from wahwahwahwah
What ? Me Worry ?

Can a mod rename the thread title to just '2014 Draft Thread'.
Then create a separate thread for the tank debate (but don't stick it)

This thread lost it's point and since neither side will ever budge, let's just tuck that debate somewhere else.

I will switch is back to my original title. You will notice TASTIC changed it to Tankapalooza on page 4, so hope he doesn't mind if I change it back. I've been thinking of changing it back, as I don't like the tank word myself.

Another interesting prospect who would be tailor made for our system. Probably the most athletic player in the whole NCAA with nice shooting stroke (57% for 3`s so far).

Looks good. Jordan Adams is another UCLA guy to watch. He's the guy that AZ had a tough time stopping last year, while everyone thinking about the draft was focusing on Shabazz.

Here is what Chad Ford wrote on LaVine
Zach LaVine, G, UCLA Bruins
Top 100 rank: 12

This is an incredible freshman class. We currently have nine freshmen ranked in the Top 14, and 11 in the first round. We have three more sitting on the first-round bubble. All of them draw praise from scouts but outside the group at the top -- Wiggins, Randle, Parker, Embiid, Gordon -- no one is a hotter name right now than LaVine.

LaVine was a late bloomer in high school, and didn't shoot up the rankings until his senior year when he grew a few extra inches. His progression has continued, and now he's dominating at UCLA as a freshman. LaVine is an explosive, 6-foot-5 combo guard who is both an incredible athlete and a polished scorer. He's averaging 14 PPG, shooting 64 percent from the field, 57 percent from three and he's sporting a 3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. And he's doing all of this coming off the bench for UCLA for 25 minutes per night.

NBA scouts love big, athletic point guards, and LaVine appears to tick off just about every box a scout could look for. He has weaknesses, though: He needs to add strength, and can still focus too much on scoring instead of distributing the ball (especially when he's playing at the two, which is where he's seeing most of his minutes this year at UCLA). Still, given his age, those are minor complaints.

UCLA sophomores Jordan Adams and Kyle Anderson are also drawing early raves as potential first-rounders, but it's been LaVine who scouts claim should be in the lottery discussion right now. When a few scouts call him "Russell Westbrook with a jump shot" you have to start paying attention.

Why does NBAdraft.net have us picking eleventh, when we are tied with the eleventh best record right now? :o We should be picking the fourteenth spot.

That nbadraft.net mock was done on 11/26, and is only updated once every couple of weeks. Another guy that could be a potential pick with Indy's pick or maybe our second rounder is this guy (Ron Baker). Reading about him, he sounds a lot like Nash did in college. Might be a good future backup pg, but is lights out shooter.

Baker might be this year's biggest draft sleeper. His play as a freshman during Wichita State's Sweet 16 run last season turned heads (he handled Louisville's press about as well as a freshman could), but it's been his performance early this season for the Shockers that has many NBA scouts thinking he could be a first-round pick this season.

Baker is a terrific shooter, but he's shown this season he's a more versatile scorer than scouting reports have suggested. He's also playing some backup point this season, which is a good thing as most scouts believe he'll have to be a point in the NBA given his relative lack of size and length. Thus far, he's at a 3.7:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He'll never be a lockdown defender because of his lack of elite athletic ability, but Baker's skills and high basketball IQ could easily land him in the first round this year. Think of the Indiana Pacers' George Hill for a comparison.

Just saw the date thing. Poythress isn't a bad option with that Indy pick either.

I love his game. He's kind of buried on a deep Kentucky squad behind Randle and WC-S. I've been saying he'd be a great fit on the Suns since last year.

I'm also liking the idea of Hezonja, who still is under contract with Barc. But I don't know if he has an NBA out. He signed a 3+4 contract in 2011.

Another Euro guy I wouldn't mind in the backup guard spot would be Micic.

And it was funny to see they have Tarczewski going 13th to us. I just looked there to see where/if they had Brandon Ashley projected and noticed that.

Another thing I noticed was that the UCLA guy mentioned above, Zach Lavine, is projected as the #1 pick in 2015. http://nbadraft.net/2015mock_draft
