Well if they are down, I'd hate to see them when they are up. A lot of the turnovers he's involved in don't even count against his stats. He had a nice lob pass given to him on a post entry pass but he wasn't athletic enough to get to it, so it's a turnover on the guard passing it into the post. He fumbles AWAY so many passes to him inside, again the turnovers count against the passer because he never had possession. He's just an oaf out there. If you want a max contract you can't be getting T's while on the sidelines then getting another arguing every single call. He's been a huge disappointment this year. Too much Jekyll and Hyde and you never know which will show up. Not sure I'd be willing to invest heavily into him when it's time to pony up. I'm liking the idea of a sign and trade with him more and more.
BTW: What games are you watching that makes you think he's been playing good or warranting a good extension?
Hes never been athletic, so why you bringing that up now, thats never been an issue before we got Drum. Drum is a rare breed, most bigs are like Moose.
If he fumbled away so many passes inside, that would show up on stats.
He has 2 technical fouls this year, no clue what that has to do with his contract. & every player in the entire NBA whines.
Multiple teams will offer him a max deal, thats an easy one. Hes a highly skilled 22 year old back to the basket big man, not rocket science.

You could somewhat justify his 3 turnovers per game last year, when he was giving you 4 assists, and it makes some sense that a big man passing that much is then going to have more turnovers than the average big. But now that he's averaging only 2.1 assists and 2.3 turnovers, its not really resulting in a net positive anymore.
His touches are way down so thats obviously where the asst drop off came.
