Hmm...well everything is very "interesting" right now isn't it. Young team playing well and fun to watch. Some guys not getting enough PT. Two vets coming back from injury. Its really hard to tell what is going to happen. It really seems like one or both of Nash/Kobe won't fit in with the squad or mess it up at least a little. But there's hope it might work out really well too. Kobe dunking and talking about passing is promising.

I kinda want Nash to comeback so he can say enough is enough and retire before the 10 games are played.

Pau Gasol said Kobe looked "really good" at practice. How about Nash? Pau: "I can't say he looked as good as Kobe"

Kinda the best player overall this year. Hammy makes a lot of sense though, because he's clearly been playing above his usual level, and I don't mean that judgementally, just as someone who's had a lot of hamstring injuries.

Why does it make a lot of sense? What am I missing?

Those extra bits of explosion to create separation, or to push past a defender, or to really jump high come from your hamstrings. The rest of the muscles get used to, but hamstrings in particular get really tight and get used that extra bit. Farmar's been making the tough plays when they count, in a role he typically hasn't been accustomed to playing as heavily. It's peak performance stuff.

It's not like this is an inevitable outcome or that he might not have hurt something else, but a pulled hamstring is definitely high on the list of likely injuries to suffer.

 I think Pau's entering "I don't give a ****" mode... Which is good for us because last year when that happened, he started playing better.

I think the simple explanation for Farmar getting hurt is the easiest.

His body has gotten used to less games on Turkey and 18 games so soon caught up to him

Pau makes me want to keep him and makes me want to trade him. I want to see what Kobe gets out of him, and hopefully he plays well. I'm still not buying the not take a paycut thing as I think Dirk sets Paus price ceiling for us. But yeah at least he can be funny when he plays passive aggressive in interviews at times. I do think I would love to see Pau stay for Nash's salary if Nash retired though

KEVIN DING ‏@KevinDing 2h
Lakers practice: Kobe leaps for one-hand defensive rebound, literally sings as he dribbles up and then makes ridiculous slip pass for layup.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter 1h
We could see @kobebryant playing the three (with Meeks starting) or the two (with Johnson starting, like today) depending on matchups.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter 1h
Kobe doing a lot of passing, and little shooting in this 5-on-5 full court scrimmage we’re watching. Gasol is the most frequent beneficiary.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter 1h
Kobe, by the way, immediately becomes LAL’s best “backup PG” with Farmar out. Just got Hill a wide-open layup.

KEVIN DING ‏@KevinDing 1h
Kobe's passing has been a pleasure to watch. "You think you're just going to double me like that..." he said to the defense.

Dave McMenamin ‏@mcten 1h
Kobe just told Jodie Meeks, who has been matched up with him, to "stop whining" adding, "wah, wah, wah" like a baby crying

KEVIN DING ‏@KevinDing 1h
Kobe on potential game-winning possession for his side ... turnover ... "Aw, s****...."

KEVIN DING ‏@KevinDing 1h
... But now a steal and a left-handed dunk from Kobe

and here is video with steal and dunk, it was of right leg, but still is awesome

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter 1h
And @kobebryant just dunked. Picked Henry’s pocket, sprinted up the left side and threw down with his left. Moving pretty well today…

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter 1h
What did @kobebryant do today, D’Antoni? “Everything … he looked good.”

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter 35m
More D’Antoni on @kobebryant: “Today was a big step forward … I didn’t see anything he couldn’t do.”

FWIW, this kid seems to have connections to the Lakers and is followed by Eric Pincus from the LA Times/Hoopsworld:

Also the Lakers-Kings game will now be broadcast on NBA-TV, bumping off Clippers-Cavs

At this rate it's gonna be Christmas Day.....and that's 8 and a half months after the injury

Dissapointed by this outcome, really thought he'll miss 2 weeks if that at max after all the reports we heard in the summer....at this point it seems he'll be back merely weeks before Dominique did and that was 20 yrs ago, with other medical technologies and equipments

Don't get it,he said weeks ago if this was the playoffs he'd probably play...what's the delay? It's not like we're Indiana and we're gonna make it either way...the race might come down to 1 or 2 games being the difference in the end
