I'm with Schwab.
if he stays reasonably healthy, this is going to be a great deal for the Yankees.

deal is expensive for my taste...but it's not my money and it's the cost of doing business.
Now they have to sign Robbie and get some pitching.

I wonder what the Yankees do with Gardner too. Backup outfielder and pinch runner or move him to LF and Soriano becomes a full time DH?

Gardner has to be in the OF. Fonsi as DH makes the most sense, unless they get Beltran, too and then everything is up in the air.

That's why they're buying the farm. The rotation will be patchwork, but they'll find a way. And I think Davey will do fine in the closer role, he did learn from the best after all.

Where it always does: free agency and resurrecting someone from the dead after a deal with the devil himself.

Well, that and hoping CC starts eating Capt'n Crunch again.

No idea. I haven't been following the talks because I don't want him.

A lot of my friends would rather have Garza (or both).

I wouldn't mind Garza, but he gives up a few too many HRs for me to be comfortable with him pitching in that stadium. Especially as a righty, the idea of facing David Ortiz nine times a year in the Bronx with a short porch is not fun.

Looks like now that Curtis Granderson has been shoved out of the Yanks' outfield, he won't have to move too far. The Mets are on the verge of giving him a 3-year deal.
