"Possibly" draft picks for stepping on field during game.

I'm okay with the fine, but not with the fact that the Steelers might forfeit draft picks. That's just taking it to a whole new extreme. The Jets conditioning coach tripped a guy on the sideline but was only fined, not sure how the NFL can justify loss of picks if they're going by that precedent.

Not saying they should or shouldn't but the Conditioning coach of a team doing it when hes out of bounds and the Head coach of a team actually stepping on to the field to interfere are entirely different circumstances imo. The Head Coach is in charge of everything and sets an example thus must be dealt with harsher.

I think the 100k should be enough.

I think they should forfeit a draft pick honestly - maybe a 4th or 5th rounder. The head coach is supposed to set the tone for the entire team and Tomlin was clearly playing dirty and trying to interfere with an active play.

I think the precedent is NOT the jets guy. But an ex steeler coach. Back in the day, cowher was a full 3 or 4 steps onto the football field. Made a blatant punching type motion towards guy running with ball. And zero penalties given

I really disagree with forfeiting a draft pick. Maybe if there were some direct interference, or we could even prove he did it on purpose. But even in those cases, it's one guy. Penalize the guy, not the team.

I see your point, but I disagree that it's just one guy. He's the head coach, he's responsible for setting the tone and should be responsible for the entire team.

Even a head coach can lose his mind for a second. There should be a penalty within the game, and punishment later for the coach but I don't see any reason for draft picks to be involved.

My thoughts exactly.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Yep. Simply can't have that.
