who said it? I can't find it anywhere.

It's the latest one with Zack Lowe. Basically it depends on how much Toronto wants to tank. The trade is at most net neutral to Toronto, so not sure how much they want to help the Knicks. They will probably require a draft pick.

that doesn't make any sense. they are getting a rookie scale contract and we are getting a rental in Lowry. Why would we give them a pick.

I think I've figured out a Melo trade that would intrigue Dolan just because of his ego.

Melo + Udrih + JR Spliff for Humphries + Green + Brooks + Pressey + Brooklyn's 1st rounders

I think he'd give up his cash cow just to stick it to Prokhorov.

Does Melo agree to Boston?

Does Boston value 1/2 a season of Melo over all those picks?

I think the answer is no to both. Hell, I don't think they value 6 seasons of Melo over those picks.

I've brought up boston before, merely for **** and giggles, but it's just the thing a petulant billionaire would do to get at another one.

if you send chandler with him i think melo would stay. rondo, melo and chandler is championship caliber.

Why wouldn't he agree to Boston especially if Rondo is there?

I had thought Amare for Nene/Ariza would have been a trade the Wiz would go for, get out of Nene's deal a year early. And Nene brings what everyone had hoped Amare would have + an expiring for a trade chip. However, I imagine with how well the Wiz are doing and both of those guys are playing, I don't see them looking to dump Nene's deal anymore.

Next best might be Amare for Wallace/Hump + pick (as mentioned). They get our of Wallace's deal sooner. Hump would be a big expiring to match with Shump or whatever to try and further improve the team.

For example, Amare to the Celtics, Hump/Shump to Kings.

Knicks then receive Wallace (dump), Outlaw (dump), Hayes (dump), and Vasquez.

Three dumped contracts that would help NY: Wallace and Outlaw, three point shooting off the bench and reduce Melo's minutes, Hayes to provide some defense in the middle off the bench. Then an upgrade at starting PG.

How so? Fat Felton is worthless, Shump needs a change in scenery. Lowry is very underrated, hes a good attacking PG that would fit well with the Knicks.

I love Lowry, but he's only good when he feels like it, and he's barely felt like it since Houston.

The main benefit of a deal like that is that he's expiring. I wouldn't include Shump for that unless there is some soft of pick coming our way.

Not that I'm endorsing the trade; but no one "feels like it" in Canada since Vince left.

How bad does LA want Melo? I want Jordan Hill, Farnar, and Wesley Johnson. Obviously Gasol will have to be included for salary purposes.

Why on earth would the Knicks want to do that? Farmar would be the 4th string PG on this team. Gasol is a 7 footer that is currently shooting 41% from the field and looking like he may be nearing the end. Wesley Johnson is finally beginning to look like a guy who should have been drafted in the bottom half of the 1st round. Jordan Hill is the only guy that is having a real strong season so far and that's only still 8 and 8.

We're 3-13. Let's not act like we have a good team here. Farmar would be our backup. He's young, athletic, and can shoot. Jordan Hill is getting 9/8 in only 22 minutes a game. He gives 100 percent every second he's out there. Wesley Johnson intrigues me because of his athleticism, defense, and long range shooting.

So because we're 3-13 we should make a bad trade? Maybe what the KNicks should have done last season when the Wolves were awful and they were a 54 win team, trade a similar mediocre package to Minny for Kevin Love? What do you think the Wolves would have done? What does the Knicks current record have to do with justifying a bad trade?

Phoenix seems like an ideal trading partner. They have 2 young PGs, a big expiring contract, a bunch of short term contracts and 1st round picks next year

Carmelo Anthony
Raymond Felton
JR Smith
Chris Smith
Kenyon Martin
Cole Aldrich

for

Eric Bledsoe (QO)
Channing Frye (PO)
Emeko Okafor (expiring)
Alex Len
Gerald Green
2014 First Round Pick (Phoenix)
2014 First Round Pick (Timberwolves)
2014 First Round Pick (Wizards)
Future picks

Lineup after:

NY:

Chandler / Len / Okafor
Bargnani / Frye / Amare
Green / World Peace
Shumpert / Hardaway Jr. / Murry
Bledsoe / Prigioni / Udrih

Phoenix:

Plumee / Kravtsov / Aldrich
Morris / Morris / K-Mart
Anthony / Tucker / Christmas
JR Smith / Goodwin / C. Smith
Dragic / Felton / I. Smith

And you think will trade 3 1st round picks for Melo? Melo's trade value is at all time low. Bledsoe's value is higher IMO.

^^^ I'd do that trade but someone would have to kill Dolan and drug the other teams GM's first. :D
