That trade still depresses me.

I disagree. Knight cant run an offense to save his life. Also BJ and BKs advanced shooting %s were near identical last year. As far as potential goes jennings is only 2 years older and has more talent. Honestly, as much as i liked the kid, i never had much faith in BK as our point of the future, hes just not a floor leader. BJ isnt perfect but hes been looking to pass a great deal this season and ive liked what ive seen.

Brandon Knight is brutal dude. He seems to lift weights pretty good, but as far as running an offense.......

By the way you're not implying the guy who is 5th in the NBA in assists is not deferring to the bigs are you?

I would rather have Bynum run this teams offense than Knight.

Just sayin. Knight is like a SG trapped in a PG's body.

What are you talking about, everyone was predicting MCW to be a scrub in the nba. His relative success was completely unexpected, the dude shot 39% in college ball.

I really didn't follow the prospects, I was only in theory, not that it would have been the right assessment given the info at the time.

Me too, every time I see Jennings shoot his off balance jumper (even when he hits them occasionally), turns the ball over, allows the player he's defending to drive past him, and especially when he shoots his left-handed lay ups on the right side of the basket (I was taught to shoot lay ups with my off-hand when I was in 4th grade...this guy gets paid 8 million/yr and can't do it?....it's absolutely ridiculous).

He has his moments when he shines (like his Hail Mary three against Miami and his strip of Lebron) but overall Jennings is a net loss player (his five 4th qtr turnovers against Miami).

Knight wasn't exactly good, but he has potential, defends, and can shoot. He is not a net loss...I'd say he's a break even type of player at this time. Jury still out.

Knight may or may not be good some day, but he's never going to be a PG. It's not in his nature and it's not the correct use of his talent. If everything broke the right way, Knight is the "Tony Allen with a jumpshot" type. If you're trying to win, you can't run him out there at PG.

And when it's all said and done, it's Middleton who may be the player missed the most in that trade. He may end up the real player someday.

Now that I agree with and thought so at the time -- BK wasn't a loss, but Middleton might be. Looking way too much like Afflalo, both in future and Joe D stupidness.

Middleton is a FA at the end of this season... He can offer full MLE if he thinks he's worth it.

I wouldn't mind doing that at all. Middleton has been solid thus far as a 3 and D.

I hate Trey Burke but ill add some fuel to the fire:

Tonight against Indiana:

13 pts, 9 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 TO, 5-12 FG

Not bad rook! lol

I was thinking of posting the same sort of stuff myself, but I figured it wasn't worth baiting people. I'm a UM fan BTW, so I'm rooting for him. Stunned we passed on him, figured he'd be gone, but I was hoping we'd draft KCP anyways. It's worked out okay for us.
