Ariza would be my choice for a guy like that

I agree in that Ariza is a great fit. The problem is who do we acquire him? I just don't see trading CV and Singler for Ariza working for them.

Monroe/CV for Porter/Ariza and maybe a pick, something along those lines.

At present time my distaste for Indiana is substantially less than it is for Miami, so I'd rather lose to the Pacers.

Whatever matchup "advantages" we have against Miami with our size are pretty easily negated by the fact we have absolutely no answer for LeBron. I'd hope that Smith could give LBJ some difficulty, but based on the fact he's LeBron and we're the Pistons I'm gonna go ahead and just assume that he'll own us. Neither Monroe or Drummond are gonna be effective trying to cover Bosh on the perimeter and Wade always has at least 1 game against us where he looks like the best player in the league.

Indy offers it's own problems, but I am far more comfortable letting our young bigs match up against Indys. And I personally think our defense will be vastly improved by the end of the season. We have the pieces, it's just not clicking for us right now.

I'd do that deal I think.

At this point, Miami. Our strong inside is a bit of a nightmare for their current roster, and would give us a chance to make a run at them. Can't say the same of the Pacers.

we have seen it. monroe can post up battier or lebron, so they have to play with anderson at the center or haslem at the PF. wade can not shoot on the perimeter. so it is easy to defend relatively

on the other hand indiana has hilbert/west and lots of shooter. so they can destroy us easily
Sorry for my poor english

Miami,

Miami's coming off back to back Championships(which is a ton of games), they are a year older, contract situations. We could keep Bron and wade in check with our Front court, and hope bosh doesn't wake up, not to mention their guards are inconsistent .

Indiana is a ton younger, there front court can match up with ours and quite frankly is more developed, Smith can only hope to contain George and they have a pretty deep guard rotation that is athletic and physical. i don't want any part of indiana in the 1st round
