People on the GB actually think we can't lose to the Bucks lol.

Can't believe there are still doubters about how bad we are and can go.

This team can and will lose to every team in the league. There's no limit to the way that these dudes do not care one bit about playing to win.

Trade Pierce and tell Garnett to retire. This is a massive waste of time.

Who is going to go 8/9 from 3?

Mayo, Knight, or Ilyasova?

The other two will go 5/7.

I asked this on the General Board and I want Nets fans opinions. Do you think management should fire Kidd if they get beaten handily (20+) by Milwaukee tonight?

I wish but Kidd is "trying" a new defense with injuries and hasn't lost the locker room, so probably not sadly.

It took the Christmas day game before Avery was canned. I expect that to be the final straw if they get blown out with a fairly healthier team.

As long as Deron Williams continues to be in street clothes for the 2013-14 season - and key FA acquisitions [AK, JET, Truth] - are unavailable, the Nets management will NOT fire Jason Kidd.

Kidd has been instrumental for this organization in a multitude of ways: legitimacy, respectability, and identity. However that was as a Net player. As a coach, the best grading for Coach Kidd is that of Incomplete; at worst grading is that of a Failure for his incompetence.

General facts about Kidd:
1.) He has a 1/15 of 1% ownership w the Nets.
2.) His jersey number 5 is in the rafters.
3.) He has strong support from the core players on the Nets - which could lead to possible fallout if they think it's an unfair firing.

Jason Kidd's latitude is because of those facts - he's a player that ownership loved and hoped that he'd be as great a coach as he is a player. After such a terrible start to the NBA season, obviously everyone is second-guessing that thought process now.
Garnett’s shot...boosted him to 25,000 points in his NBA career. More than that, by reaching...25,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 steals and 1,500 blocks — Garnett joined an elite class of … ONE. Just him. That’s it - Steve Aschburner

Thanks for the responses.

One more question. The nets were terrible under Avery and have been terrible under Kidd. Under PJ, the Nets actually played very strong. I'm not saying he was a genius but considering how thing have looked under the other two a case can be made he was doing a better than recognized.

In retrospect, do you think Nets fans were too hard on PJ?

The coach who played Evans and Wallace together 35 minutes a night? No.

The same core players that have dogged it under his watch, and have played like they do not give a damn?

Are we seeing the same thing here?

Wallace, Stackhouse, Bogans, Deron, Blatche, Watson, Brook, Evans loved Avery while Hump, Marshon, Teletovic did not.

So, when he got fired. It was a wake up call and it added some spark into everyone who wanted Avery including Deron.

They played better under PJ because he sounded like a coach and operated like a coach instead of an idiot like Avery and also because they realized ownership didn't accept a 3-13 Decemeber.

PJ was a stubborn clown that would see Reggie Evans getting torched by Boozer in the playoffs and keep using him while Humphries held Booz to 3-7 when guarding him. Kidd's Xs and Os suck but his rotations are a breath of fresh air to PJ.

Kidd is worse than PJ overall but we would be the same team if not worse with PJ because Plumlee would get no minutes and Teletovic would get no minutes while both have flourishrd here.
