How has Ryan Anderson reached the level of "unattainable dream target"?

Isn't it possible or even likely Ersan would be part of this trade? If true, probably a good tank move anyway. Let's just pray Giannis, Henson, Sanders etc. are not involved.

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
I am somewhat OK with this news if we are trading any of Zaza, Butler, Neal, Udoh. Even if they trade for a veteran (which would still be dumb) at least we would only be giving away a fellow veteran or non impact player like Udoh. I also doubt any of these players could give us any type of player that would actually yield wins.
If we trade Ersan, I am OK if we acquire legit assets: young players with upside or picks.
Trading Henson or Sanders would be a borderline apocalypse. Henson is on a rookie deal and has a decent amount of upside and Sanders actually seems to like living in MIL and we would be absolutely selling at his lowest possible value

I like it. How about
Win Now Trades When You are Bad Ensures You Never Win
Ray Allen and a #1 for 3 months of a washed up Gary Payton and Desmond Mason
Andrew Bogut for Epke Udoh and 1.25 miserable years of Monte Ellis
Tobias Harris for 3 months of JJ Reddick
Probably to much for a Bilboard but there has to be some way to tell them just how much "Win Now" mid season trades where we have sent out value set us back over the past decade. Yes We got John Salmons for taking on his salary but it seems like since then Hammond and Kohl have been chasing that formula like a Heroin addict chasing a high.
Edit- Then again the Website pretty much says it all.

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
If the team makes a horrendous win now trade, we as a board should vote for another tanking team (Utah, Philly etc) and actively support them for the rest of the season. Ignore the Bucks games. No game threads for the Bucks, but do then for the other team. A uniform boycott of the team except if they play young players or do something else consistent with the Save Our Bucks mandate.

Kinda rooting for a win now trade tbh. Takes the pressure off.

How did it take the pressure off exactly?

No game threads. I can dig that.

Figured we would screw up this start somehow. The only silver lining here is that Hammond is absolutely terrible at trying to improve the team via trade. So from that standpoint, not worried a ton. I am worried we dangle youth though, because we are the dumbest **** team on the planet.

Ok I can see Atlanta but Bucks have Sanders and the Sixers have Noel, think Stein's just throwing stuff against the wall

Exactly what Luke said. I'm not concerned about a trade that will ruin the tank, I'm concerned about a trade that will ruin the future.

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
love to see an asik trade as long as were dealing ersan and/or other vets out of here to get him . he'd immediatly become our best trade asset since we last had a healthy bogut. houston dealing him in that little trade window so we could flip him anytime we wanted to is kinda a big deal when looking at this.
nothing about steins comment leads one to believe were under any illusion we should still be trying to win. and the idea we would give up any of our young guys right now is asinine.... exception being if we could somehow dump sanders of course.
im kind of excited. asiks deal coming back means maybe we could probably clear another vet contract back at the rockets. shame delfinos hurt. id imagine theyd take him anyway

It will be even worse our pick will be involved somehow

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
As has been written several times elsewhere, ALL of the Front Office guys are lame ducks. From Kohl's perspective, any form of losing looks bad for the new arena, so HE needs instant results (future-be-damned). Also, if/when he sells, the rest of the FO is toast. No new owner is going to retain any of these guys.
For all the Executive Veeps, and GM, etc, etc, their horizon is the playoffs - the draft may as well be in 2099 as far as they are concerned.
Of course that's hyperbole, but you do have to think those core ideas are percolating in their minds over there, and having an impact.

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
Well, say hello to your new SF, Rudy Gay! And he only cost you the Greek Freak + John Henson + a bunch of picks! What a bargain!
Seriously, why in the hell would the management want to make any moves for this roster? This just screams panic move, which will end horribly.

Houston Trades: Asik
Houston gets: Illyasova
Philly Trades: 2014 1st (protected somehow)
Philly Gets: Asik
Milwaukee Trades: Illyasova
Milwaukee gets: Philly Protected 1st
Dream scenario, shows how to come out on top of a three team trade. Gaining an asset while helping out tank.

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
If they trade any of Henson, Giannis, Sanders, Middleton, 1st round pick...I'll be furious. Everyone else on this roster has a For Sale sign on them as they're not a part of our long term future.
I have trouble seeing them deal Henson or Giannis but Sanders PR issues might make Kohl dump him irrationally. God help us all if our 1st is included.

We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.
