Falcons Postgame: Gift Wrapped

Post#1 » by whatthe_buck!? » Sun Dec 8, 2013 8:57 pm

Christmas came early this year for the Packers. What an abomination of a game by both teams. Rooting against the Lions is so much more fun than rooting for this Packers team. Oh yeah and f*ck Jeremy Ross to death Vito from the Sopranos style...

They won a game they needed to win. They had gifts just to get in the playoffs the year they won the Super Bowl too.

Why don't they shovel the field? I'm pretty sure that's what we do when it snows.

With this win and the Lions loss those (myself included) have to re-think the whole resting Rodgers the rest of the season thing.

Our playoff chances obviously improved a whole lot today.

I'm grateful we won the game, but the same problem that plagued us with Rodgers healthy plague us with Rodgers unhealthy - particularly, our red zone inefficiencies. I just feel this win is fool's gold. I don't expect any monumental shifts. This being said, it was nice to experience some luck. It was nice to see the players play extremely hard in adverse situations. And, as we all know, a little luck can be the start of things moving in an entirely different direction.

I wish I could say the same about the Milwaukee Bucks and the trade deadline. :noway:

You will sometimes see them shovel the yard markers during a game but not the whole field, we have warmers in our field to help melt it and keep it somewhat usable. I don't believe they stop our game and shovel it mid game other than maybe the numbers/yard markers during a time out.

I don't think there's any question that once Rodgers is cleared by the medical scans he'll play. But, until that time, playoffs or no playoffs they aren't going to risk the franchise.

I don't think this game was gift wrapped. We gave them an easy td off a fumble and a fluke int return. Other than that the pack were the better team and played solid ball. Lacy and jordy are beasts

I swear I remember them shoveling the opposite side of the field they were playing on. There are also like a thousand commercial breaks during a game.

They won four in a row despite red zone problems. Rodgers comes back next week, with the remaining schedule, they absolutely can win out. None of the defenses they face should give the Packers problems.

Yeah, it wasn't gift wrapped. The defense shut them out in the second half.

We can't win @ Dal without Rodgi, and we can't afford to lose another this season, so if he doesn't come back for next week we're toast. He's got to know that, and he's competitive, so I'm guessing he convinces them to let him back on the field.

Hopefully we don't end up ruing that Vikings' draw. That could end up being the difference between us and Det. We'd be tied atop the division right now, although they'd still hold the tiebreaker pending future results.
