Rudy Gay to the Kings

Post#1 » by russkopp » Mon Dec 9, 2013 12:16 am

Rudy has been pulled out of the Raptors lineup. Sounds like Vasquez, Patterson and filler for Gay. The Kings are a ridiculous team, Rudy going there is just like them. We can finally stop talking about him coming here.

Rudy Gay traded for peanuts, now finally Raps can stop proposing Gay for Monroe!

Thomas
McLemore
Gay
Williams
Cousins

Tons of potential but I'm not sure they're much more than that...

I agree Rudy Gay has become the focal point of the statistics crowd but he does make the big shots when they count. This team will be ridiculous to watch but the potential is there.

I actually like the trade for the Kings. Sure Rudy Gay isn't good but I mean who else were they starting at the 3 after they traded away Mbah a Moute. They didn't even trade much to get Gay so that's a win.

I don't know, I'd value Vazquez over Gay. Kings got fleeced.

Vasquez is pretty solid and PPAT is a decent floor stretcher 4 as a backup. Kings maybe lost the trade IMO. I'd have thought nobody wanted to take Gay's cancerous contract without even talking about who he is as a player.

It very well could be. Offensively they have a lot of potential but I think Williams already ruined his career by trying play SF, Cousins and Gay have always been highly inefficient, MacLemore is a rookie, and Thomas is a midget. This could be a huge mess for them if they don't figure things out.

I'm just so happy that we don't have to discuss unrealistic Gay trades anymore! It appears that CV and filler could have got the job done had we wanted another high-volume low-efficiency shooter. :-)

Don't be too excited fam. Sactown fans are gonna start the same thing soon.

Unless it's only bothersome when Rap fans do it; in which case I wholeheartedly agree, lol.

This deal just shows the value of Gay. I only would have done Gay for Cv, Jonas, and other filler while not moving Stuckey. Gay isn't worth his deal.

LOL, true. Raps wouldve been better off if they accepted our trade. We would've been in trouble though. Imagine if we traded for Gay and still signed Smith. It would be chuckers gallore.

What's the worst that could happen? Go from the 14th team in the west to the 15th? Kings are just trying to drum up some attention. Gay will make them worse, but what difference will it really make? Isiah Thomas won't pass to him anyways.

How so? Malone is a good defensive coach and Gay, McLemore are really good defenders, Thomas is active and Williams too, need to be teached, but still they are athletic and fast.
Cousins is Cousins, nothing to do there.

Patterson is a FA that won't re-sign with Sacramento and they have Landry, Thompson and Williams
Vasquez is garbage as your starter, overrated as hell, needs the ball all the time, he's a bad shooter and awful defender.

Hayes and Salmons are bad contracts and Patterson will be a FA at the end of the season. I guess Stuckey and CV wasn't a bad offer at all and they should have accepted. I'm glad they didn't.

Hayes has only $1 million guaranteed next seaon if he's waive before July something... which is probably pretty likely.
