that seems a little extreme.

MCW is over 21 years old right? How does his Mom have any input on his finances?
He seems reasonably mature and smart.

I'm cool with putting a portion of the 4.5 mil in the bank lol not the whole damn thing

I made a separate topic about this article, but now realize that it probably should have gone here instead. Interesting article though. In science/Hinkie we trust.

And 1 for the article. Very interesting read. Also, I like how the WHOLE organization is on the same page.

Thanks for posting that article. I found this small part funny:

Kendall Marshall 36 minutes 11-18, 5-9 3pters, 31 points, 10 assists, 7 TO's in his NBDL debut in a 139-126 loss this afternoon. Reeves Nelson is also playing, he had 15 and 12 on Tuesday and 28 and 6 today. Overall the sevens are a bad team, but development is the name of the game.

Didn't know where to post this...don't know if there is a Delaware Sevens thread.

Keep your eye on Philadelphia. Front-runner would be overstating it, but the notion that the Sixers are a viable destination for Asik is increasingly making the rounds. And that certainly makes sense given (A) Philly's front office is run by a certified Asik fan in former Rockets exec Sam Hinkie and (B) Philly has a frontcourt player to send back to Houston in Thaddeus Young, whose skill set can click with Dwight Howard's, albeit not as well as seemingly unattainable dream target Ryan Anderson; and (C) there really isn't an Asik for Philly to draft with the high pick it's likely to snag in the 2014 lottery.

I don't see it, what happens next year when Noel comes back? Asik will still come off the bench. Also, Asik will help with our defense, which could translate into more games won and that goes against what we are trying to do this year.

Hey guys, bit off-topic but I think I'm going to do a Sixers wallpaper for fun soon. Curious what player(s) you would most want to sport on your desktop background. I was thinking MCW & Noel for obvious reasons. Thoughts?

I would definately go for a Noel/MCW one...

another one that could be funny, would be a split screen, on one side you have Collins surrounded by some of our old sixers in their new uni's (GSW iggy/CLV bynum, LWill,Green,Dally whoever), and on the other side have brown with the young kids... and an out with the old, in with the new kinda label.

BIll Simmons' article on the NBA E-League (I'm assuming 'E' is for Eastern as well as a play on it being worse than the D-League?). Well, he loves what the Sixers are doing so here are the excerpts for the Sixers from the 76ers/Bucks portion of his column as he bunched the tankers together.

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/100 ... conference

The Good News: We're grouping together our only guaranteed tankers in the East. Don't be swayed by the feel-good Sixers start — it couldn't be easier to tank if you were a four-man team. When the time comes, they'll be ready. Just trade Spencer Hawes (playing well) and/or Evan Turner (rejuvenated!), keep Nerlens Noel sidelined and figure out a fake injury for Michael Carter-Williams that will keep him out without costing him the Rookie of the Year award, and they'll easily lose 25 of their last 27 games. Their long-term future: Carter-Williams and Noel, Thaddeus Young, their 2014 pick, New Orleans's 2014 pick (top-five protected), gobs and gobs of cap space, and one of the best front-office/ownership situations in the league. Good times in Philly.

The Bad News: There's no bad news. Finish with one of the five worst records and you're getting a franchise player. Period.

Most Interesting Subplot: Right before the season, I received this email from Philly reader Mike Turner: "I was on my way home after a hard day's work today I see a digital billboard advertising the Sixers season opener vs the Heat. It says Sixers vs. Heat with a picture of LeBron next to the word Heat. Who was the picture for the Sixers? Michael Carter **** Williams. The percentage of cars who said 'Who the **** is that guy?' has to be around 98%. Ladies and gentlemen … your 2013 Philadelphia 76ers!"

Fast-forward six weeks: He's headed for Rookie of the Year and a first-team spot on the WTF Happened In That Box Score All-Stars. Seriously, you never know what might happen in an MC-Dub box score — he might throw up a 22-10-12, he might grab nine steals, he might make six 3s, he might have nine turnovers. You just don't know. He does a little bit of everything. I don't even know who you'd compare him to. Important note: I thought he was going to be a bust. Don't forget — I'm writing this column instead of running a team for a reason. But unless Noel or Alex Len blossom late, it looks like there are only two potential All-Stars from 2013's draft: Carter-Williams and the Greek Freak (whose ceiling is Paul George in Kevin Durant's body with Freddy Krueger's arms and hands, whether he gets there or not).

SportVU Revelation: Sadly, SportVU doesn't have a way to measure MC-Dub's catlike reflexes on defense yet. Shouldn't there be a "Steals Normal People Just Wouldn't Have Gotten" stat? Carter-Williams, LeBron and Paul George would have to be the top three in some order.

Worst-Case Scenario: Nothing for the Sixers other than injuries — they played this season perfectly.

Prognosis: There are two safe bets in the Eastern Conference right now, and only two. First, Indiana and Miami will be battling in Round 3 this spring. And second, two members of the Randle/Parker/Wiggins/Exum/Embiid/Smart group will be playing in Milwaukee and Philly next season. As for everything else? Your guess is as good as mine.

Yes, unless he is discounting him cause of the turnovers, but he is playing out of position
