happens every game. There's usually one guy who's just good enough to be better than everyone else and thinks he's Rudy Gay.

I balance those guys out by being too unselfish. The only guys I hate are the ones that play absolutely no defense and the one guy that is always playing like it's game 7 of the NBA Finals when everybody else is just having a laid back pick up game. That last guy is always my assignment and makes me look like a chitty rebounder b/c I don't want to body check a dude to the floor in a game of pick up.

this one guy shoot the ball every single time even if he was tripple teamed and one of his teammates was wide open, he also gets real pissy if something doesn't go his way....so irritating

one game we was playing and a special needs kid wanted to play so obviously we let him and he(ball hog) got mad that we didn't guard him and let him have the ball, basically let him beat us...he(ball hog) was so mad lol

I essentially see the ball on catch and shoot threes and catch and drives to the rim. For all the **** I give Ben Gordon, I wish I had a tenth of his handles. You would also hate my on-ball defense when my assignment is stronger/much quicker than me- (I'm skinny fairly unathletic 5'8)

My role typically ends up becoming exactly the role I wish Ben Gordon would take- only catch-and-shoot 3s and occasional drives to the basket. otherwise hardly ever seeing the ball.

We had one of those guys at the gym just about every time I was there my first two years of college. He was literally just good enough to make those shots and get away with it. Still made Raymond Felton look like Steph Curry.

My shot is either on or off. If it's off, I'm only good for offball defense and as a 3-point "threat" to stretch the floor. If it's on, I'll make three to four shots from outside in a pickup game to 16. All depends on my shot and how good the guy guarding me is.

i used to be wildly inconsistent a few years ago, one game i'll be on fire and score like 40, then the next i couldn't hit the broad side of broadway, i've gotten a lot more consistent tho recently, usually score anywhere from 15-25 handful of assists, couple rebounds and some steals, i'd say 18p, 5ast, 4reb and 4stls is pretty average

I really am too damn similar to Boris Diaw. Nice post game that I never use, decent perimeter shooter, just love to pass off the dribble and create. I'd say McRoberts but I don't have the handles/athleticism nor do I heave line drives at the rim. If my shot is on I have been called Dirk Nowitzki but I think that's b/c I'm usually bearded and tall-ish. Plus Nowitzki is the only white guy most black guys can think of. I''ll take it.

this one guy i play with has the worst jumper EVER, like 10X worse than MKG's he holds the ball wrong, uses one hand , shoots on the way down and barely jumps, he is pretty tall but he doesn't have a post game at all either, basically he is just a rebounder

ive been playing with this group of guys, mostly 30s, 40s, 50s (and even one in his 60s). so as you can imagine its a slower paced brand of hoops. perfect for me these days. most of these guys have been playing with each other for years, so they have great chemistry. most are unselfish, can pass and knock down open shots. i love it, because my game these days is passing, making open mid-range jumpers and lots and lots of moving w/out the ball. i get open, the old dudes find me. i get the ball, i find them. perfect.

so a few weeks ago, 3 young athletic guys, about 20 showed up and i ended up on their team. these 3 guys were light years more athletic than anyone there. they weren't tall, maybe 5'10" to 6'0" and had speed like NFL defensive backs. first game, we lost 7-0 to a team of the old guys. i touched the ball two times the entire game. the 3 guys only passed to each other and whoever had the ball once they got near the 3pt line shot.

next game we lost 5-4. the 3 guys this game had resorted to playing full court press against a team of 40, 50 year old guys. the 3 guys were playing like they were trying out for their college team. they were so much quicker and more athletic than everyone that the other team could barely get the ball over halfcourt. yet we still lost because these 3 guys took the most god awful shots on offense and played 3 vs 5.

for the night we won 1 game and lost 3 and i took only 2 shots in 4 games, both times i shot i was passed the ball by the other guy on the team.

it was the least fun i have had playing basketball in probably 20 years.

who has the audacity to show up to a free gym full of old guys they have never met, who were nice enough to let them play, then proceed to not pass to any of them while playing aggressive full court press with lots and lots of fouls (that of course dont get called)? you literally must have zero self awareness to do this.

Besides the team store anyone know where I can get some sweet Charlotte Hornets gear? I am going to Northlake mall tomorrow and going to watch Delivery Man, and after will go inside to find some Charlotte Hornets gear. Oh and side note, those who live in or near Charlotte should get together on a weekend or holiday and just have a bunch of games. Btw my game is similar to Matt Carroll, but with much better defense.

Anybody with XM radio, check out "Starting Line-up" morning NBA talk show with Frank Isolo and Sam Mitchell. Good show, enjoy it. XM Channel 217 starts at 7 am.

yeah... i am caught up

Spoiler:
i am getting a bit tired of this show... well, i have been tired of this show since opie was killed. its been downhill since. there is not a single likeable character on the show. as a viewer you cant identify with any of them and you arent pulling for any of them to make it. i know the show has lost me when i find myself rooting for tara, who i cant stand.

and gemma is just such an annoying, unlikeable character. watching her ruin everything for 6 straight seasons feels like pulling off your fingernails, slowly, one at a time, over a 6 month period, over and over and over.

i have want to see the mayans, the feds or some other random gang just come in and gun down the entire SAMCRO club

I think thats eventually what is going to happen. That they are going to kill everyone off eventually. I don't like Tara either, but I found it ridiculous how she was killed off.
