even Melo is missing the leadership of the veterans from last season? WOW. It's DARK over there. Melo should by all accounts BE the leader of that team. They're playing horrid D, that's how they turn this around, play together on D. Cover each others asses and help each other out.

When we lost Masai and Iguodala I felt like our season was headed in the direction the Knicks are in now. SO freakin glad things have turned out the way they have.

this season? not sure...i'd be happy to stay with the team as is to be honest. Obviously if we were offered something we just couldn't say no to I'd bite, but i don't feel like anyone should be targeted right now. Let them grow and bond for a few months. It's the only way to get better. And we still have Gallo, McGee and that Knicks pick. Even if we were under .500 right now i wouldn't be calling for a trade.

can you imagine if lebron said "we're missing our veteran leaders" or something of the sort.

melo's been in the league for ELEVEN YEARS!

what happened to just being a leader?

Watching the Nets Knicks game last night a couple of thoughts occurred to me, the Nets look selfish and they look like they are aging by the day.

I am actually okay with the Knicks winning last night, it buys Woodson and company a couple of more weeks, and I do not think that win last night is going to turn their season around. The Nets are one of the few teams that the Knicks actually are considerably quicker than.

Kinda hope the Nuggets are one of the teams talking to the Rockets about Asik. I'd love to see them get out of Mcgee's contract and get a better Mozgov in the process.

I could be wrong but I do not see the Rockets taking back McGee in an Asik trade, rumors are that they want a fortune for him.

I would be shocked if they get a lottery pick for him, which I think is what they're aiming for. But depending on what offers are out there, the next best thing for Houston might be something like McGee+2nd or a 2017 1st round pick.

sure they want a fortune, but i'm sure even morey realizes that he's not in the best position to try and leverage an offer as everybody already knows that omer wasn't and hasn't been happy since he worked his ass off the previous year, only to be benched. besides that, he's currently injured.

on one end, i see a possibility of pursuing a center through the draft, but that possibility is on the shoulders of another team's failure, which is never guaranteed. on the other if omer is available and all it takes is mcgee and a 2nd rounder, i wouldn't dismiss the trade so quickly.

i don't think i'm in the minority when i say that i don't think mcgee will ever reach his potential.

I would trade out McGee, but I certainly prefer Mozgov and his 4-5M contract over Asik with his 8-15M.

I agree I much prefer Mozgov over Asik, I think Asik has gotten overrated, and while we can talk about it only taking McGee, I think it is a pipe dream that they take him along with a 2nd rounder. Hell the rumors are out there that the Mavericks have a standing offer of Marion and Shane Larkin for Asik, which is considerably better then McGee on his contract and a 2nd round pick.

With news of the Sanders bar fight actually being what caused his injury, many Bucks fans seem to think he could be on his way out. The Senator/owner does not like off court issues, and has been known to trade guys for less of a problem off court. That is one guy I would go after, true defensive center who is also okay on offense and a solid rebounder. I would give up the 1st for him today if it would mean you could get him.

More pipe-dream trade talk, No one will be trading for McGee anytime soon and when they do they'll want to dump a terrible contract on us.

Lowe always writes some good gouge on the Nuggets. That clip is pretty funny, I hadn't started watching yet.

oh boy, we might have a problem! lowry might be off to the knicks while felton might be going to the raptors, definitely an upgrade and will hurt our pick chances.

I have a feeling the Knicks are being used for leverage, I mean the reported offer is Felton and world Peace as well as a pick in 2018, I would think they could get better then that for Lowry.

the whole deal is supposedly metta, felton, and a 2018 first for lowry. they're also saying that metta can't be traded until the 15th, also masai is apparently in europe looking at nets' former pick bojan bogdanovic -- lots of stuff happening.

Right as I said the Knicks are leverage, Ujiri did not fly to Europe to scout a Nets player if he was going to take the Knicks deal, he is bringing out the old Melo trade handbook, use 2 or 3 teams against each other until you get what you want.

If it is the Knicks I would fully expect Ujiri to walk away getting Felton and Hardaway JR, with shumpert & a future 1st being traded to get a 1st this year.

with the rumors that the Knicks were interested in andre Miller before Landry came available, it almost made me laugh. If only they didn't have to throw Camby as filler in the Bargnani deal, they would have had a chance to put together the 2006 Nuggets roster before the NYC brawl and the Nuggets dealt for AI.

Would have been kind of fun to see how bad that crew was now compared to when Kmart and Camby were able to do something, and JR was not getting cracked out on his days off.

Evan Fournier, McGee
Amir Johnson, Landry Fields

Return to Denver Nuggets
