Pistons are now 4-7, granted they're 8th in the east due to how pathetic it is.

This keeps up and this pick could end up being what I like to call "jack pot"

Portland just won their 8th straight.

Of course I can't imagine they'll continue to be a top 4 team in the West, but they're a playoff team. I don't have doubts about that. It's just that I'd put OKC, GS, LAC, Houston, Memphis, and San Antonio over them in a heartbeat. This is as good as it gets.

blazers cant keep this up. they dont have the depth. look for them to finish around 40-45 wins. we'll get their pick and it will be around 15-17.

DET fans want to send Monroe here for MKG and their pick back.

We're going to lose our pick to the Bulls eventually and DET will lose theirs to us (probably soon). It's a swap we're going to have to live with. Bulls get our pick. We get DET's.

If our pick goes to the Bulls, it's obviously not a lottery pick so we can't regret losing it. It's not like the Bulls will be able to draft Parker, Wiggins, Randle or Exum with it.

It might even be someone like Isaiah Austin if we make the playoffs. And the DET pick could end up being someone like Seldon or James Young.

I hope you're right. The West is tough so hopefully there are plenty of teams to bang down the Blaze.

Piston fans are desperate.

The Bulls board has become a secondary Bobcats board on RealGM. Interesting to read opinions of the Bobcats going forward on there.
Humble yourself.

Geez. One would think that our pick has no protection on it at all as excited as they are.

The Detroit pick is currently 9th. It looks like we are a .500 team and a playoff team. The DET pick might be our best one for this draft.

we keep beating up on the bad teams, cant beat any good teams tho, the East is beyond horrible but i still doubt were a playoff team and if we do make the playoffs it will be a sweep

I still think we hold a chance against any Eastern team that isn't Miami or Indiana. Brooklyn is crap, New York is crap, Atlanta has fallen back to earth, Cleveland is awful, Toronto is garbage, Detroit is poop, Washington is looking better but still below .500, and Chicago is looking terrible without Rose this year. No other team was/is expected to make an impact in the East. I can see Miami, Indiana, Washington, Atlanta, and us (and just maybe Brooklyn and/or New York) recording a .500 record this year playing so many of our games against this joke of a conference.

Miami and Indiana get to play 48 games against the rest of this conference. I think each of them will win 60+ games this year just because of that.

If we are in fact trying to win this season and we stay healthy for the most part, we should be able to pull off close to 30 wins (out of a total of 52) in this conference. I think that's a sensible goal- we just need to beat the teams we know we can beat. Stupid losses to teams like the Suns or Celtics just need to be avoided. I can take getting pounded by Indiana, but giving games away to tanking teams will mess it all up.

I'm trying to remember how you got the Detroit pick. Was it for taking on Gordon? Was that Gordon and a first for Maggette? It seems to good to be true if so. The 1st was a thousand times more valuable than anything else in that deal.

Don't trade for Monroe. I don't think he's the answer to anything on a winning team. On a losing team he's great.

Yes sir. That's how we got it.

the East is beyond terrible so Detroit will make playoffs, the West will hopefully beat down on POR and their pick ends up around 16, i wouldn't really be disappointed if we lose our pick two mid-low picks in the teens should be a great help to us in a loaded draft and we have FA spending money also and even a 2nd round pick

Found this site on the draft board, updates the draft order every ten minutes, apparently.

http://www.tankathon.com/

Our pick would go to Chicago at 18 right now. We'd get Detroit and Portland at 19 and 29.

Yuck

Detroit will end up in the lower 20s, as will Detroit in my opinion.

Awesome page, I bookmarked it.

I love the ability to mock the lottery as well. In Lamar's world Nuggets got the number one pick since the Knicks suck so much. That would be cool. I'd be happy for the Denver franchise.

Who will lose a 2014 lottery pick?
Ranking the value of traded first-round picks in the next NBA draft

5. Charlotte Bobcats (from Detroit Pistons): 3.7 WARP

The good news is the Bobcats are highly likely to get this pick, which is top-eight protected, from the Pistons this season. The bad news is it probably won't be quite as good as Charlotte hoped because Detroit should finish in the East's top five. It typically falls somewhere between 17th and 19th.

10. Charlotte Bobcats (from Portland Trail Blazers): 2.4 WARP

Portland's pick, protected in the top 12, looked like a nice asset entering the season, bu the Blazers' fast start has decreased its value considerably. It's now unlikely to fall anywhere higher than the 24th pick.

11. Chicago Bulls (from Charlotte Bobcats): 2.3 WARP

Though the Bobcats currently have the East's fourth-best record, their point differential is eighth in the conference, so they make the playoffs in less than half of the simulations. As a result, there's still a good chance this pick (top-10 protected) rolls over to next season, which Chicago probably wouldn't mind, because the protection drops to top-eight next season and completely unprotected in 2016.
