Actually, one possession. If Lebron doesn't hit an easy buzzer beater in game 1.

That was game 1. So, that still doesn't make sense. Their asses were blown out in Game 7, how's that for one possession?

Not saying the Pacers are guaranteed to win the series, but a game one win would have given them 4 wins on the series, thats what PG has to be referring to.

If he said, they were one game instead of "one possession". Then yeah, that would have made a lot more sense.

If they lose to us, then they are really going to have to look in the mirror as they've lost to Chicago, Portland, and OKC as well. It's a bit different to lose to all the tough teams you play, rather than having an off night vs the weaker ones.

It should be noted that all 3 of those losses were the 2nd night of back to backs and all three were on the road. Bucks/Bull, Clippers/Blazers, and Spurs/Thunder. Tonight the game is at home and they had yesterday off. Though, they did just go through a brutal stretch against the Clippers, Blazers, Jazz, Spurs and Thunder all out west. 5 games in 8 nights against the top 4 teams in the western conference. After that stretch, who knows if they show up rejuvenated or sluggish though.

I almost want us to lose this game on purpose.

If we win, I dont see the Pacers getting demoralized, I see them getting hungrier than ever, knowing that they still have some improving to do.

However, if we lose, they get the validation theyve been looking for, the media fellates them, and they feel like they have our number and they get complacent, then come playoff time, when they feel like they got us, we knock their teeth out all over the court, surprise surprise.

I hope Spo sits the Big 3 and we give Beas the keys to the offense and let the Pacers try to beat our bench (like we did to Pop and the Spurs last year), thatll really **** with their heads!

As I said, if we bounce their asses in 5 games in the playoffs, I'm willing to accept us losing by 30 today lol

I actually might sit wade tonight...pacers are going to be playing this game like game 7 of the finals. If they win without wade it wont mean much, if they lose without wade it would be pretty embarrassing for them after talking so much ****

Blah. Game 1 was the only game that was really close during the series and you call the LeBron buzzer beater in OT but forget to mention that Paul George hit a 32-FT 3pt shot at the end of regulation to send the game to OT. What if he missed that low percentage shot?

Frank Vogel and some Pacers players saying they're preparing if Oden plays. I dont think we should show all of our cards yet. Not this early in the season !

They weren't 1 possession or so away from the Finals...

They played a game 7 and got blown out.

Yes things may have been different if Game 1 went their way, but they still blew their chance.

Also last year our team seemed to only play well when their backs were against the wall... they never got down to business. We had a chance to end them in 6 games, but they were lazy. Looking back, it wasn't as close as it seemed. This team was lacking discipline last year. Even doing stupid **** like getting beat in game 1 against the Bulls.

What if Ray Allen missed the low percentage 3 falling out of bounds against the Spurs? Takes luck to win sometimes as opposed to being the beater team.

If you assume that the series doesn't go to game 7 with a Pacers winning game 1 to end the series in 6, then yes, you could say they were 1 possession away from the finals. Some people look at it as if the Pacers won on the road in game 1, there would be no game 7 to lose on the road.

Yep. When the games really matter, this team plays its hardest. That level is hard for other teams to match. That's why we'll get blindsided and throttled by teams like the Bulls. They play hard every game, and are always amped to play us. We just don't meet their energy level in the regular season.

That brings back memories of the 2011 team that got beaten every game in the regular season by the Bulls. Then the playoffs come and we take them out in five games. Specifically in that last game, when we were down double digits late, and we clamped down on them and pulled out the win to end the series. You could see the look in the Bulls' faces. They had that look of surprise and shock in their faces. That's what believing too much in regular season games will do to you.

I keep watching those vids again and again.. It.. was.. simply Beautiful :D

Its known as being lazy... If pacers won that game, we would've taken game 2.
Ultimately, if's and but's don't matter.
You got your ass handed to you in game 7.
