It doesn't help that we ended up with virtually nothing in that deal, while Garnett wins his first championship the very year he gets traded. So, unless we are absolutely pillaging the Celtics future for the next decade, fans would absolutely abandon this franchise.

Last I checked, McHale isn't here anymore. Saunders has no ties to the Celtics, so he wouldn't be gifting a championship to his former team.

Other than the fact he was working with the Celtics last year?

Why are there people talking about blowing this Wolves team up? Hardly even a quarter into the season and we've had arguably the toughest schedule to start out with.

I still have faith in this team the way it's constructed.

Because if we aren't a winning team we will have to blow it up anyway?

The schedule excuse is getting old people. There are teams ahead of us that have more significant injuries than us, and a more difficult srs.

If by any chance Westbrook and KD being not ideal fit starts up again...Wolves should be all over that. Westbrook is exactly what they need...as a athletic scorer and to help keep Love in MN.

Rubio, Pek and OKC choose Bud or Brewer for Westbrook, Perkins, and filler.

Westbrook would be an even worse fit in Adelman's offense than Rubio.

I don't think Westbrook would be a bad fit in any offense.

I'd be 100% on board with rugyrugger23's trade.

From trades and transactions:

GSW fan recently posted Thompson, Barnes and Lee for Love + one of Martin/Brewer/Bud.

I would. Would love to see Love in GS.

Plus we get an elite shooter and a SF, plus D. Lee's production.

I'd rather us trade Martin with Love and get a nice pick in the draft. Then KILL the league next year.

Rubio/JJ
Thompson/Bud
Barnes/Brewer
Lee/Dante
Pek/Dieng

Curry/Bazemore
Martin/??
Iggy/Green
Love/Speights

samesies. I don't know if I trust Westbrook's knee or even how his game ages...and with how things go, Pek probably starts blocking 4 shots a game and Rubio starts scoring like Lillard after the trade, but I'm about ready for the Dallas method of roster turnover every year until something works rather than keep sitting back and get boned each and every year like clockwork.

I would do this trade IF Love is gone for sure.

I would ship Martin with love.

Well if it really goes to that state, I think we should pull up tank banners now, since last 2-3 seasons were supposedly playoff seasons. And now when its seriously the right time to get in, we're having problem going over 9th seed.

Good god I do that in a freaking heartbeat. No way GS actually does that though. Love is 99.95% gone imo and has been for a long time. Even if we were a playoff team he's gone imo.

A Bogut-Love front court would be awesome!
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

You guys really think the days of Kevin Love in Minnesota are close to end ?

If so, What trade is good for us ?

Some options.

1 - Wait until 2014 draft day to get a great deal.
2 - Bulls option - C.Boozer / J.Butler / Mirotic / Chicago pick / Charlotte pick - Love / Budinger or Brewer.
3 - G.State - H.Barnes / K.thompson / D.Lee - Love / Barea
4 - Clippers - B.Griffin
5 - Cleveland - T.Thompson / D.Waiters / J.Jack / A.Benett - Love / C.Brewer or Budinger or Shved.
6 - Phoenix - Morris twins and a bunch of draft picks.

This is the most realistic time for Love trade to happen, being ones mentioned below or other. One I like is Philly- JRich (expiring) / Noel / Philly top 5 pick / Pelicans late lotto pick owed - for Love and Brewer/Bud
2 - Bulls option - C.Boozer / J.Butler / Mirotic / Chicago pick / Charlotte pick - Love / Budinger or Brewer.
This option is not good as is. Bulls won't tank enough for their pick to be anything plus having to pay Boozer. Now if Bulls went tank mode and got a top 5 pick, maybe.
3 - G.State - H.Barnes / K.thompson / D.Lee - Love / Barea
If this offer is on the table, which I don't GSW would offer, Wolves should take it.
4 - Clippers - B.Griffin
I would do this trade, fun to see Blake with Rubio. Winning team-no (downgrade from Love won't produce more wins) but very fun to watch.
5 - Cleveland - T.Thompson / D.Waiters / J.Jack / A.Benett - Love / C.Brewer or Budinger or Shved.
If Benett wasn't such a bust, or Cavs would have selected someone other than Benett this would have been a good offer.
6 - Phoenix - Morris twins and a bunch of draft picks.
I personally think this option blows. Hope this isn't ever entertained.

If we knew that Love was 100% committed to coming back, we wouldn't entertain trade offers. If we knew he was 0% committed, we would.

My question is this: What percentage does it need to be before we'd private announce before the deadline that we were looking for offers, and start the competition for bids? Remember, this stuff always gets leaked, so Love would be PO'd.

Keep in mind this fact as well. Even if Love was leaning towards not re-signing here in January, the front office may feel they could try to change his mind as the season progresses. Also, MIN doesn't have a lot of drawing power for another superstar.

OK -- so what's your percentage?

For me, our team is broken, as we have no bigs that can provide help defense and blocks, and we have no guards/SFs who can handle and shoot the basketball. Kevin Love is the prime trade target on our team, unless Pekovic keeps the same pace of the last few games and continues to stake his claim as a top 5, possibly 3 center.

Either way, David Lee is not the answer to our issues. He's one of the last people I want to pair up with Pekovic with his 3/44 (2/30 after the season) contract. At the same time, if we trade away Love, we need someone that has a shot of becoming a star. Barnes and Klay Thompson are great players, but they will never become the go to guy that we need.

Bulls offer is intriguing depending on where their own pick is. They are pretty horrible at the moment, so the pick can be anything between 6-12. I like Butler as a potential LeBron stopper as well. 2 picks in a stacked draft would also be awesome and Mirotic can be a great PF in the NBA. Bulls make a lot of sense for Love as well.

Love doesn't make sense for Philly however, so I can't see how they offer up that package, when Love will likely leave as 76ers are not close enough to contend. I really love the prospects of Noel and the Philly and Pelicans picks, but it just won't happen.
