Why he’s No. 1 this week:

Wiggins matched his career high with 22 points against Colorado, on an efficient 7-of-11 showing from the floor (and 7-of-9 effort from the free-throw line). He had six points in the final 3:13, though he wasn’t happy to have missed one of three free throws that could have tied the game with 13 seconds left. For all the criticism of his offensive approach this year, he has the best kenpom.com offensive rating of the Big Four.

Wiggins should start tanking for Raptors!

His frame and length is excellent and hopefully as he gains the muscle to fill in that slender frame, he won't lose much explosiveness. I'm really liking what we are seeing out of the kid.

Wiggins seems to have a frame that can hold 20 lbs of muscles.

Are you guys watching these on streams, or can you sign up to something like league pass?

I don't care about the 0 assists. He tried to involved others and they flat out bricked shyte. Unfortunately he might have been too generous in letting Florida get out to that lead. It's harder to evaluate perimeter defense in NCAA with all the zones being played.

I'm not worried too much about him becoming a big black hole on offense. He tried to give up shots to his team mates. Only took over when he needed to.

How'd you watch it? Replay? TiVo?

Ah, thanks. Was hoping there was something like league pass, I don't have tv channels in my house :)

Ohh no, don't expect an athlete to put on weight and don't mention it on this board, people will start using it as an excuse why a player lacks talent and is poorly conditioned.

The most exciting part about wiggins is that he's a guard.

How so? He doesn't play much guard for Kansas and doesn't display a lot of common guard skills like ball-handling and playmaking. Maybe down the road, but right now he seems like a typical SF.

He's a shooting guard, not a PG.

Nah man he's a pure sf. Dribbling and passing skills are traits essential for a quality sg, something Wiggins lacks. Hes clearly a sf.

He'll be playing the 2 and the 3 in the big leagues. In college he's almost exclusively a 3, might end up playing some 4 because it's college depending on what lineup is on the floor.

He's a 2/3 hybrid. He will likely be able to play both at the NBA level. Needs to upgrade his handles for the 2 though, but I think like Vince did, he can as well.

I'm sure he'll play the 2 but the 3 will be the position that best suits his skillset.

Vince's handles were better coming out of college. I think his handles were underrated, actually, in retrospect. He already showed more than enough ability to get the ball out on the perimeter and get to the basket on his own in his rookie year. He didn't need people to set him up for baskets. That IMO is the main purpose of having good handles for a swingman.

I think Wiggins' handles might be better than DD's, though. So if he follows a similar work ethic and curve, he should have slightly better handles than current DD at least.

Maybe Wiggins has small hands.

With Vince, and you could tell by how he dribbles/dunks the ball - he's got a large set of hands. :eyebrows:
