Overlooked

Post#1 » by Slimjimzv » Fri Dec 6, 2013 8:55 pm

Can someone help me understand why the Spurs get overlooked every. single. year. . .?

It's not the small market, because OKC is never overlooked.

They're not boring. Last years finals were 'can't miss tv'.

They have multiple HOF players.

They have a coach with a personality.

What is it?

It's not news when a winner just keeps winning. We're the NBA equivalent to the Red Wings in the NHL and to some extent the Patriots in the NFL.

I personally prefer it the way it is. Who wants to be an ESPN darling? That's boring to me. True NBA fans understand and appreciate what the Spurs franchise is all about.

True, which is why Stephen Jackson is currently unemployed.

This year? Because we've lost to every relevant team we've faced

^^^ Yep. I'm not concerned with our losses at this stage. The only team (in the West) that can hang with us in a seven game series is OKC. Portland are unproven in the playoffs.
