Why is LeBron so passive?

LeBron has tendencies of being passive at times, then when he sees he doesn't meet his normal statistical averages, he tends to stat pad towards the end of games, which is OK, since it could only help his MVP candidacy.

Come on man, LeBron BBall IQ is tremendous and his balance on when to be aggressive and when to get teammates involved is Magic Johnson-like (maybe too far back of a reference for you?).

Either people just don't know Basketball is a "team" sport or I just don't understand what they are looking for from players.

I think players like Andre Blatche trying to stat pad to get that trip dub back in the day makes everyone assume that any player that puts up decent numbers stat pads.. That was the exception, not the rule.

But to each their own I guess

I love the trolls that try to knock LeBron for taking high percentage shots. This is the same guy that anchored one of the most efficient offenses in NBA history... Apparently playing efficient basketball is a bad thing?

lebron pads stats all the time. the most memorable time for me was in the fourth quarter of game 6, the game was pretty much a blowout and all the guy could think about was padding his stats. it even got to the point where all he did was chuck threes up at the end of the game.

The reason he's a turnover machine this season is because he's over-passing the ball. There's nothing wrong with it, it that LeBron makes it look too predictable sometimes and defenders are able to read his passes.

This team generally, not just LeBron, has a tendency of overpassing at times. In some ways it's not a bad thing though because it reflects what an unselfish and cohesive unit we are. Aside of that, when it comes down to, do you really see Dwyane and LeBron pass up the opportunity to look to score themselves? When it came down to it, LeBron went nuts, when it came down to it, Wade went nuts, even when not healthy. That's why I'm not too worried. Sure can it be frustrating to watch, but as long as I know this isn't a permanent problem, I'm not worried.

Regarding the stat padding: If LeBron wants to pad his stats, let him, 90% of the players, star players in particular, do it. As long as it's not hurting the team, who cares? If anything, find me stars as talented as ours, not just LeBron, who'd so willingly make sure all three of them get going if one of them is struggling.

Has anyone else noticed the several really unusual and random misses he has had the rim so far? I can remember twice where he fumbled open dunks, and not like they popped out. Seemed like he could elevate high enough. I am thinking those back spasms maybe worse than he is leading on. Personally I don't care about last nights game (how many times did Bulls beat us in the regular season?) or his willingness to facilitate rather than dominate at times. But something seems a bit off to me.
