why do you think so?

When JT is on his game, CDR is in no way better.

Same old problem as everyone else on this team though- CDR's 3-ball is fairly inconsistent.

Wrong. When CDR is on his game, JT is in no way better. CDR has a catalog of good games in his 3 real stints in the NBA. Taylor is so-so

Feels like CDR is 56 years old, but hes only 2 years older than Taylor.

That should tell us how old Taylor really is, and how seasoned he should already be, needless to give him excuses as if he's not matured beyond your average 4-year veteran in the NBA. Taylor make more rookie mistakes than MKG, and on par with Zeller, both of whom are at least 3 years younger

LOL I thought he was 29 or 30. I feel like he's been in the league since like 2005. He's only been in the league 4 years???

Yeah I guess so. Hes still pretty young. May have some potential left in him.

I don't see how though, CDR gets playing minutes over JT. Cliff has a hard on for JT, he played him over MKG. CDR will have to earn his minutes first.

Taylor is falling out of favor with Clifford each passing game. As you seen Gordon finished the game out tonight with Taylor on the bench. The CDR move was to get some competent depth. It's up to him to take JT's spot when he get the chance which shouldn't be hard to do.

CDR needs to play next time out. We're gonna need someone to defend Paul George and someone to defend Danny Granger, Hendo will defend one, but who defends the other? JT? I hope not. Tolliver? Gordon? LOL. This would be a lot easier with MKG in the line up but I have the feeling PG is going to go ham Friday night. Maybe the combined efforts of Hendo and CDR can at least stop him from scoring 35?

Clifford tells Douglas-Roberts to be ready to play Friday vs. Pacers

The urgency involved in signing Chris Douglas-Roberts out of the Development League as an insurance policy at small forward was undeniable Wednesday.

“Friday -- that’s what I expect,” Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said, when asked when Douglas-Roberts should be ready to play.

“It’s the NBA, he knows it. When he’s in there, we’ll be careful what we run but he needs to be ready by Friday (against the Indiana Pacers).

“That’s a big part of why he’s here. I was around him for a month (as an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers). He picks things up quickly. I trust him as a competitor. I told him, ‘The reason you’re here is because you may be needed, so we need you ready.’ ”

He said Clifford’s expectation that he be up to speed on the team’s offensive sets and defensive principles by Friday is reasonable and he’ll be ready.

“We’re professionals. Things like this happen and you have to pick things up fast,” Douglas-Roberts said in an interview before the Magic game. “This isn’t college anymore. You’re in the NBA for a reason, and you have to pick up sets. A lot of the sets are (familiar) they’re just called” different names.

Clifford got to know Douglas-Roberts at Lakers training camp before Douglas-Roberts was cut last fall.

I feel good for CDR getting a chance after paying dues in the D-League. He's kinda one of the forgotten people on the "Derrick Rose" Memphis Tigers the year they went to the National Championship. Southerland never had a chance of playing, so adding CDR can only be a plus. Friday will be his chance, and a 6pt/4reb performance would be a great way to kick it off
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

I applaud CDR for playing within the system getting used to the team before breaking out in last nights abomination vs. POR.

However, he's another throw back style player!

WHO IS IT in upper mgmt at CHA who loves them some Old Style ball players? Al, Hendo, MKG, Kemba - every single one of them would have looked a lot better in the 1990s. Do we have even one player who would fit in, for instance on that POR roster? WHEN will we get even one modern style ball player who can play both inside and outside the 3 pt line??????

unless cho is the dumbest analytics guy in the league, it has to be higgins and to a lesser extent MJ. higgins is an 80s/90s tweener who wasnt a 3pt shooter. MJ thinks teams win with defense and wings who can score at the ft line.

That would be okay if our wings attacked the basket instead of launching fadeaway after fadeaway.

That's the explanation that fits. I just didn't want to say so because of the usual chorus of "But MJ's not the GM".
They brought in Cho but never fully turned the ship over to him.
