So should any Arizona broadcasters ever touch another alcoholic beverage? Or should they just stop driving altogether? What's the best solution?

How about being responsible and not driving after you've had some drinks? Or not speeding home in the dark when you can't see any police if you really are still capable of driving.

That's probably the best solution.

How about waiting for the blood test.... how about 'presumed innocent until proven guilty'..... the way our media jumps on assumptive charges is unfair to anyone. The damage is done and true to form, the verdict is already in. IMO, press like this needs to wait until a trial/verdict.... for everyone.

I would typically agree, but:

"Chambers told officers he had a few drinks at the Pac-12 Championship Game between Arizona State University and Stanford. Chambers had a passenger in the vehicle and two opened bottles of beer were found in the vehicle."

and:

"In an accompanying statement, Chambers apologized for his conduct."

It is what it is. Was he above the legal limit? Maybe, maybe not - in the court of public opinion he has already done wrong and IMO the perception will be the same. Probably not a big deal for him personally or professionally in all honesty.

You'd think they would use a service like Uber or something

Come on. We've all done it at least once. He just got caught. Probably didn't help his case that he gave the officer attitude.

Speak for yourself man. I've lost two friends to drunk drivers. My tolerance for this stuff is lower than low.

Drinking and driving is bad, stupid, extremely dangerous, I get that sometimes people try to rationalize and convince themselves they're fine to drive, it does not make it any better but I know how it happens... but to be LITERALLY drinking and driving?! The guy had an open bottle with him! Thats just awful.

Coincidentally... during the ASU game my cousin texted me to say he just pissed next to Tom Chambers! Small world.

PS, my cousin took the Light Rail home.

Yep agree with Ravy, I've got no tolerance for it and have never/will never do it.

I use to work for the New Zealand Transport Agency and we made the campaigns for anti-drink driving, some were extremely hard hitting.

Amazes me these people with so much money and clearly celebrity status just can't splash out $20 for a safe ride home, boggles the mind...

If he's guilty it's not a good look, but I can't see them letting him go or anything over it.
