I get that we like Lowry cause he's new, but he's not going to do much for this team.

He's better than Felton both on offense and defense. Nobody is suggesting he's an elite pg but we can't get one of those.

Nothing earth-shattering here, but I've been told that Iman Shumpert's name has come up in the #Knicks trade talks with TOR for Kyle Lowry.

how surprising

Plus upgrading our PG position hurts Denver's lotto chances

Why does this matter? It's already a sunk cost unless you're worried about the embarrassment of the situation

It matters for the Raptors who are trying to tank. The better the Knicks are the less ping pong balls the Nuggets get

Bolded is just flat out not true. The second bold being far less true. He's a better defender, scorer and playmaker than Felton. That helps the team.

That's not true. He's a decent passer, and he's a good defender.

Compared to top tier he's lacking there. It's true. I think we can all agree he's better than Felton though we are all just disagreeing how much better...

I don't gamble, I'm not in the Knicks FO. But we're getting another CAA player and trading two that aren't.

You must've missed the ppost where it said Dolan loves THJ and Lowry isn't a CAA client.

But Terence Ross is.

who can we get though ? he's about as good as it gets. and yes, he's basically felton when felton plays well. which aint happening this year much.

frank got this one right

Frank Isola ‏@FisolaNYDN 2m

The question is, do the Knicks believe Raymond Felton can get healthy and fit and play like he did last season. He's fallen off this year.

Don't worry about getting anyone right now. Let our bench play and see what happens. Don't just trade to say "look I made a trade". That's why we have no assets right now as it is.

they're trying to make sure they make the playoffs. they have to look good enough for carmelo to stay.

Given that he would not be traded because he's too good for what they want to do there (tank), I'd suggest your point is meaningless.

Rockets were saving money IIRC, Raptors are trying to tank, forgot the Grizzlies reason.

Kind of changing my mind. In preparation for 2015, keep all assets. Who cares what pick we give Denver -- totally meaningless.

Sign Lowry in the offseason if you must. But he would only help our record next year which is bad (tank that year).

This should be about 2015 and amassing assets. Giving Denver a pick means absolutely nothing at this stage of the game. If anything, Denver will occupy a lottery spot that otherwise would go to an Eastern Conf team.

A man has a right to change his mind. Forget about it. Let Ray come back and see what he can do.

The Grizzlies chose Mike Conley basically.

But it's a marginal upgrade that doesn't make sense. It doesn't fix anything wrong with this team. All it does is deplete this team of the small trade-able assets they still have.

I'd rather do a Shump/Ray deal for Lowry than a Shump/THJ/Filler for Rondo... because THJ can do something that's hard to teach = Shoot! And will only get better. He's the future starting SG as of right now, which to me is what's making Shump expendable

Like I said, he's in the 2nd tier. And at the top of the 2nd tier. Felton is like at the bottom of the 4th tier.

The main piece Lowry is not. THJ is being thrown around by a writer not any source.
