I'm not saying Woodson is to blame for all of his struggles, but it seems silly to give up on a guy completely when he is playing for a guy that is a lame duck at this point anyway.

He plays 30 minutes a game. It's shump's own fault he isnt playing well. Just look at the difference between the Nets and Magic games versus the last two. He's too inconsistent

To be clear, I didn't necessarily mean more playing time. Sometimes guys click under a different coach's style or different situation. I agree his biggest problem is inconsistency, but people seem to be judging him more based on the last two games vs. the Nets/Magic games. This team is a complete mess right now, and no one is playing well. To me it doesn't really make sense to judge anyone properly, particularly a young player, in such a bad situation.

I'm not against trading Shump at all, I just don't like the idea of trading a guy simply because he isn't playing well, especially when we know his coach should/will be replaced anyway. Maybe it's a pipe dream, but I'd love the idea of seeing Shump under a JVG or Thibs next season.

Clarification for some of these guys-

Here's my guesses/assumptions on who cannot be dealt at the moment:

THJ- Rookie contract (maybe later in the season he can but not yet)
MWP- As an amnesty pick-up he cannot be dealt for a period of time
JR-New contract cannot be dealt for a period of time.


Now even if I'm right on a few of them they may be tradeable within the next 2 months or so.
