If MWP is part of the deal, it can't be reported until Sunday because you can't trade MWP until then.
And just like that, the lead has been cut to 8!

The Knicks trade more picks than a Geno Smith vs. Eli Manning game.

Whoa...what happened to all the Felton lovers when Lin signed by the Rockets?

Apparently Felton's Portland days weren't a complete fabrication of the truth.

Billups, Melo, Brewer, AC

a great deal for Denver? its good because Melo was leaving anyway i assume but talent wise the Knicks clearly win that trade

it was Dantonis dumbass fault for not playing Brewer here either

You are leaving out a 2014 first round draft pick (which could be lottery the way things are going) and Kosta Koufos.

So if you look at Denver's team from that trade they have

Wilson Chandler (probably second best player on the team)
Darrel Arthur (used Koufos)
Andre Miller (used Raymond Felton to get)
Mozgov (who has played well for them this year)
Gallo

plus a first round draft pick this year and the rights to swap in 2016.

You can say that's not a great trade but at least put the facts up there.
Play time is over.

The New York Knicks are pursuing Toronto point guard Kyle Lowry with a package of Raymond Felton, Metta World Peace and a 2018 first-round draft pick, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Toronto is discussing deals for Lowry with an ever-growing list of teams, league sources said.

Several teams are pursuing Lowry, but the Knicks' most direct competition for him could come from the Brooklyn Nets, who are also exploring the possibility of a deal, league sources said.

Within the Knicks, there's hesitance on including the draft pick, but there's no chance a deal for Lowry could get done without it, sources said. Nevertheless, there's still doubt on how long New York will keep a pick on the table, sources said.

trade him to the nets! prokhy/king are just as bad as we are when it comes to trading picks. maybe they will try to one up us and include 2 first round picks and conditional seconds. PLEASE BE THAT STUPID

Glad we didn't give up Shumpert. Lowry and Shumpert could be really good with a good coach.

But you get rid of the coach and figure out what kind of basketball team you want to be and then you start making moves.

Exactly. Felton has gone off a cliff and it's gonna take a month before we know if last year's Felton is ever coming back.

Say what you want...i will be more pissed if we give the raptors money in the deal. We need to keep our money so we can just buy a pick come draft time.

Picks are a waste if you don't tank enough to get a quality one and then have time to develope them.

What? Is this post for real?

This is the kind of logic Dolan or Isiah would use.

if you aren't going to tank properly, which the knicks will never do...honestly getting a 17 or 18 pick in the 1st round is that going to be a game changing player?

im trying to use the logic of how our organzation is ran and if the deal happens. Sorry i don't live in a fantasy world

If the option is trading shump or the 2018 pick...i choose trading the pick

that is my logic

I'm trying to understand if you're serious. Are you being serious? Are you really saying the draft is worthless outside of the lottery? How many good players have been drafted from 15 and on? Furthermore, how many future picks did we trade that ending up becoming lottery picks did we trade under Isiah? We didn't have to "tank". We just sucked. We suck right now too. What makes you think they'll be good 5 years from now?

Your logic (if you can call this logic) simply makes no sense.

Ultimately I wouldn't trade an unprotected 2018 first round pick even if Melo said do it or I'm leaving. But I am excited to see some passable PG play.

Get a dude who gets these guys running. Even **** ty ass Felton is better when we run. Lowry, Shumpert, and THJR on the fast break? That's not bad. Get Kevin Love in here to throw outlet passes, and you got yourself a stew.

if Lowry is the key to a championship this year, would anyone still care about the pick?

That's where I've been the whole time. Save the pick and see if someone else becomes available later.

i'm with the two of you, but they can't help themselves. What's the point? Are we really going to sign this guy long term? He's our PG for the future?
