However I'll remind you guys that the Raptors gave up a mostly unprotected high pick to get him didn't they?

For a 2018 pick to be protected, owing to the five-year rule, it'd need to be an immediate downgrade to a 2018 2nd if it fell into the protected range, I believe. Doubt that the Raptors would be terribly interested in a pick that has the maximum upside of a playoff first, with a significant likelihood of being a 2nd.

Really good thing about Lowry is he's durable. Has not had many injuries. Lots of games logged and still young.

I remember him having a bit of a nagging injuries habit throughout his career though. I could be wrong though

in a way it's not even about felton. it's about how he's playing this year with the kind of injury that will nag him all year.

also the pacers not going through a "proper tank" and winding up with arguably the best / most complete team in the east.

4 straight years not making the playoffs. You act like it is easy what the pacers are doing. They drafted extremely well and were willing to develope players...lot easy to do that in indiana or san antonio. Still its not like this works for every team.....see the cavs..see the wizards....see the t wolves...eventually the young talent will leave if you dont win.

the pacers never had a really high draft pick. thats my point. all of their draft picks were 8(?) and lower...and look how they turned out. also, the knicks actually have done well when they had their own picks to draft. scouting is not a problem of this team. development is because we give up too easily, have **** coaches who cant develop, and we have a toxic environment (from every angle of this organization)

I've resigned myself to this kind of move happening. But make no mistake it's a terrible trade and when Melo retires and we still can't rebuild and all we have to show for it is losing 4-2 in the 1st round instead of missing the playoffs, you will all realize that.
