I don't see why we would include Wolters in a trade, we value him far more than any other team in the league.

This is my biggest fear. If Asik is brought on board it's going to signal to the rest of the league that the Bucks are more interested in moving Sanders likely lowering their leverage. Also, how do the Bucks plan on raising Larry's value if he has to split minutes with Asik (or worse, share the court with him).
A move for Asik makes absolutely no sense so I'm not even going to entertain the thought until it actually happens (even though the same was said about Redick last year).

I don't really think that's true at all. Value wise it really isn't bad.
It's f*cking terrible and if u don't see that you're pulling a momentary Hambone. Udohs expiring alone is worth a lot, let alone Ersan plus a second rounder rookie that has shown enough that he shouldn't be dealt unless its for a late first at the very least (and as I stated, if Morway wants him then I'm not trading Wolters period).
You can't give up promising unknowns when you're anything less than a contending team or unless you're getting other promising unknown players that fit your team better in return. Asik and Ronnie f*cking Brewer??? Are u kidding me? And that doesnt even take into account lost cap flexibity for offseason draft-time trades where we could take on salary for a pick or picks. It makes me sick that this is even potentially on the table, but its almost worse that some veteran realgmers can't see through this to see it for what it truly is: your average run of the mill Morway jizz-gargling a*s rape.
This is a horrific deal and, assuming Morway coveting Wolters means what I think it means, a potential Tobias trade part two!

How about we get Houston's 2013 first out of this at the very least? I'd rather have Ersan than Asik.

Morey can make a stone bleed. Hammond slashes his wrists so he can get an IV.

Because Morey knows he could suck any little bit of value out of Kohl and the gang that he wants.
Haha, somebody photoshop Herb onto a Kool and the Gang album cover.

With the East so weak, Kohl just can't resist the temptation.

Indeed. I had to go back in the archives for that one. It's such a beautiful beautiful and telling image. Thought we could really use it during what is proving to be another very very trying time. I consider it a public service to the board.
Who authored that to begin with?!? They deserve a thread of reverence!

Nah, it really isn't. Asik is one of the best defensive centers in the league and those hold a good amount of value. Ersan has less value then Asik IMO, Udoh is seemingly worthless and though it would suck to give up Wolters, he hardly holds a ton of value right now.
It's an awful deal for us because getting Asik makes no sense at all for us, but the value really isn't that bad at all.

I think Baddy Chuck gets credit for the Hammond/phone pic. Almost positive he's the one who created it.

I think you're both wrong. I think the salary cap hit is 15 million but that the salary as far as trade purposes is 8 million. I'm pretty sure about that.
The cap hit is definitely 8 and salary owed is 15 (for next year).
Isn't that the cap hit in incoming salary for the recipient team? How can u be paying a guy 15 mil next season but have it only count 8 mil toward the salary cap? And If thats true and the the cap hit for Asik is 8 mil per as far as luxury tax instead of 15 then how did the Rockets get the 5 mil salary cap figure this offseason instead of the 8 mil one as far as freeing up cap to sign Dwight?
And if the 15 mil to be paid in slalary is isn't counting 15 mil towards the cap in the last season but instead only 8 how is it even considered a poisen pill contract? I thought the reason the bulls didnt match the offer was cuz they didnt want to have to deal with the luxury tax implications in the third and final deal, if that's now how it's works then wouldn't they have just matched the offer? This makes no sense to me whatsoever...
