Good, high quality post that makes a ton of sense.

A first round pick is worthless if it is 5 years away. And hell, it wont be "LeBron James" so why is anyone worried? Draft picks are overrated anyway. I'd rather have mediocre PG's as short-term stop-gaps to try and save a lost season with a terrible coach so our best player doesn't leave this offseason.

Now you are getting it. Once you start thinking like how the Knicks actually function instead of a fantasy land rebuilding model that will never happen you will be a lot happier with life.

LOL you want the team to tank with no draft picks?

the last time the Knicks had a top 10 pick they took Channing Frye.

its either a pick 4.5 years from now, Shumpert, or THJr

there is no reason for Toronto to trade otherwise

you would rather give up on Shump and THJr for a mystery asset that is almost 5 years away? LOL

so youd rather give up nothing and continue to watch atrocious guard play

or youd rather trade two players who have already shown potential instead of some unknown prospect 5 years from now

LOL

people always think just because you have picks youre going to get good players, majority of the time teams are bad, and remain to be bad

You're right, man. Draft picks are overrated. Look how successful we've been without them all these years.

I definitely would love to have a playoff birth with a team under .500 and get swept in the first round just so I can say "hey we made the playoffs 4 years in a row!!" rather than keep my assets and try to build a decent team in the future since the current one is going nowhere as is.

Denver wanted two out of the three of Wilson Chandler, Gallo, and Anthony Randolph. Awkward.

Hang up the phone mills,,, Ujiri is not playing fair.... :o
J.R. Smith's last-second whiff left the Knicks with a sixth straight loss. But J.R. would do it again. "I think we went with the best shot," he said.

would rather not think about that with Jrue Holiday on the board

I have successfully cleared that draft from my memory

Oh man, for a second there when it said two out of the three following, and I saw Jr. I thought it meant JR Smith. Got excited there.

yes Lowry is a huge upgrade, he is better across the board

all that gasping got u lightheaded u cant think straight hold on to ur breath and use ur noodle next time

mmkay, you got the juice now fella! clever retort! last time i'll try this..nvr argued felton was better. I actually think lowry is slightly better than ray. Nvr even mentioned rays stats because I know he hasn't played a full season and is playing like crap this yr. All i said was lowry has not averaged what you say he has averaged over a full season. The closest he got was in the 10-11 season where his team failed to make the playoffs. Other than that yr's stats, lowry has been more or less the same as ray. I'm not advocating for felton, simply sayin to stop over rating lowry. Now if you still would like to believe that lowry is SOOOOOOOOOO much better than ray, can't help you there.

listen champ, whether hes been injured or not, those are his averages as a starter the past 4 years

he is better at everything than felton

not much else to say

like i said, if you think he's better at everything, fine. The stats YOU posted do not support your claim that over the last 4 yrs he's avg 14+ pts. At least 2 of those seasons are below that and he was not even the starter for the entirety of those seasons. Have your opinion, dont make up "facts" to support it..

We are tanking and Lowry complicates that.

Just give us Hardaway and that 2018 1st :D

That exact "crying about picks" post has been made for every single terrible Knicks trade over the past 10 years. Feels like Groundhog Day every time a trade is made on this forum. It's like people suddenly get amnesia and forget that the "picks are overrated" mantra has failed for us badly.
