I thought that was all pretty much obvious to anyone who watched Jennings. I've always cringed when he shoots because he definitely throws the ball more than shoots it. I'm also always worried he's going to get hurt because of the awkward way he comes down after a shot.

His shot isn't the issue. He's actually quite good at the above the arc 3. He just can't finish with his off hand (embarrassing), finish with contact , and has overall suspect shot selection. If he simply fixes his shot selection, everything is great. Paint scoring is already #1.

If he learns to cleanup his footwork, (which was mentioned in the article) and actually changes his extension and shooting flex, he can be a good shooter. I don't think he'll put in the effort though. It's mainly a pride thing with these players, they don't like to change their game since they grew up with it, no matter how messed up it is.

Somebody sign him up with Pro Shot system's coach.

Sometimes I wonder how BJ made it this far without correcting his shot, then I think about Shawn Marion...

I like how the author says BJ's problems are fixable and he has the potential to be a top tier player, I hope Chauncey can take him under his wing and guide him because they have a similar background.

His shot selection has actually been quite good, in comparison to his Milwakee days, however he does tend to get over excited at times, which I don't mind if he's hot. The one thing I find funny is that the more difficult the shot, the better for BJ as he seems to make a ton of fall aways

Poor 2 ounces vodka with two part simple syrup add one splash grenadine and one splash sour mix.

Check out his shot chart. He's actually excellent anywhere away from the corners behind the 3 point line.

Let's hope Jenning's erratic landing doesn't put him on the same career path that Redd is on now.

Just an example of another reason why going pro at 18 yrs old after relying on talent to get through high school is a horrible idea.

Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith will always be what ifs and could have beens because they never learned to play the game and only know NBA JAM moves.

I can't believe people are actually commenting on how an NBA player shoots. Critiquing shot selection is fine, but how he actually shoots the ball? Im mindblown. Cuz the last time I checked none here are named Ganon Baker/ Micah Lancaster.

Some people need to stop acting like Demi-Gods behind the pc. At the end of the day, Jennings is paid millions for shooting that ball, while some are self proclaimed experts just wasting time and energy on the realgm boards.

What im saying is, Shot form is not topic worthy, while shot selection is, and I'm sure we already have a different thread for that.

We'd all like to see our players shoot with perfect form , but at this level most of them won't take a chance on changing what got them there. What I hate is seeing him get hot, and then shooting 3 or 4 in a row, even if he makes 3 of the 4 the rest of the team stops moving and goes cold. He's done this in each of the last 4 games , in Chicago he was 5ass 33points, Miami 6 and 19 ,Minn 7 and 20,at New Oleans 4 and 25 .I think he needs to shoot no more then 8 to 12 shots a game, hopefully spaced out, and concentrate on getting back to 10 to 12 assist.

Looking at Jennings' stats from the outside, one might say, "Looks like a pretty good player." But I'll be honest--watching him play disgusts me. Seriously. I hate the way he operates in the offense, I hate those stupid floaters he heaves up from the dumbest angles, and I hate his idiotic hot dog passes that lead to turnovers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's a bad player per se or that the team isn't better with him; I just HATE the way he plays.

stats rarely tell the story.

If you went by stats it looks like Blake Griffin is close to a Lamarcus or Love when they couldnt be more oceans apart.

is it just me BUT i really think Will Bynum does better than him in the PnR (sadly Will, same as Jennings, doesn't know what to do)

Jennings' not too good at creating during PnR situations
when a big comes to set a screen, he'll try a spin or a move or two but he can't turn the corner
he's back to where he's at initially and wastes the shot clock, and now he's on full ISO mode
