Also had 28-10 against Indy and was the sole reason the Blazers won that game. He just kept hitting clutch shot after clutch shot. He also limited West to 6-14 shooting and no free throws.

Re: MVP discussion thread
Aldridge might not have the number averages of a Lebron or Durant, but if he keeps coming up big in these nationally televised games, he really could "steal" the MVP. If the Blazers hit 60+ wins and have more wins the Thunder/Heat, he really has a solid chance at winning it.

To add onto that post from Wednesday:
Only seven other players since 1985 have reached the same 25-15-5 line more than six times in a season. Twenty-two games into the season, Love is already poised to climb up that list. Shaquille O'Neal holds the top mark with 12 games of 25-15-5.

Re: MVP discussion thread
I made a statement 2 weeks ago. Since then a lot has changed.
Clippers lost games, Durant is DOMINATING, Aldridge is beasting and the Heat don't even care.
Lebron is Lebron, Aldridge is Portland, Pacers are pretty balanced and Durant is BALLIN!
Seriously right now this is my MVP standing:
1 Durant
2 Aldridge
3 LeBron
4 George
5 Paul

LMA reminding me of Rose in 2010-2011. He may not have the stats of KD or Lebron but he's got the team on his back and they're winning.

last nights game.Aldridge was a sight to see. it was my first blazers game of the season. aldridge should be in the top 5 list,
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Re: MVP discussion thread
NBA.com released their new MVP rankings today after last night's Portland game. Here they are...
http://www.nba.com/mvp-ladder/
1. Durant
2. George
3. Lebron
4. Parker
5. Aldridge
6. Curry
7. Paul
8. Love
9. Harden
10. Westbrook
I think George is too high and Aldridge is too low. Anyone outside the top 5 are irrelevant for the award

I'm a little surprised to see Parker still ahead of Aldridge, and Paul to fall that far. Otherwise I agree with the top order.

Re: MVP discussion thread
I genuienly think if LeBron gets this Heat team to 55-60 wins, given Wade's issues and Bosh's passiveness, that's even more impressive than George and the Pacers/Durant and the Thunder getting to 65+
It's also crazy that KD can play like this, becoming a genuinely excellent defender and play maker while not losing any of the offensive efficiency, and still not bridge the gap between himself and LeBron.

Re: MVP discussion thread
I see Durant is feasting and beasting in the past few games. If he can keep up his monstrous production like this, it'll bring some viable conversation about who is currently the NBA best player.
