There is really no reason for him to give up $$. I'd say it's unlikely because there's no indication that Okafor is disgruntled and wants out. But if it's the case that Okafor wants to play for a contender, which is what I was addressing based on the article, then the best way to get it done is through a buyout. We don't want the crap from contenders so a trade is highly unlikely, so a buyout is really the only option and it's beneficial to both parties.
I do think it's likely that we'll get him on the court in the 2nd half of the season and run with it.
