watching Lin run to the corner for a 3 ball is not why I started to watch the NBA again...

I thought the whole Idea was to have Lin come off the bench and ignite the 2nd stringers... and give the starters a rest...

instead starters seem to play heavy minutes... or Lin plays heavy minutes with them...

I can't tell if this is trolling or what.

If you consider what he did was well. I just can't wait until he has an 'exceptional' game

Me thinks he was talking about the defense he played on Lillard. Did not watch but the game board was praising him for his defense.

They were setting up their cards to make a splash in 2015 when they could potentially add two big names in free agency to pair with a couple of lottery picks. No one foresaw how quickly two superstars would be added, so we are stuck with Lin and his contract for the time being.

Luckily management was able to snag Beverley on the cheap and we can put a solid product on the floor. It doesn't really matter, he isn't hindering us much. His offensive surge kinda cancels out his turnovers and bad defense. Expensive and serviceable is okay for the time being.

Could be worse.

You know that you could have made this point without the insulting tone.

I disagree completely that he is simply a "gimmick." He is one of the most important players on this roster.

OK everyone - the only time I ever come into this thread is when something is reported...something that happens with great frequency around here. We have been discussing this thread and the original plan was to leave it open in hopes that it could be guided into a more civil discussion.

That has not happened. This thread has run its course. It is not contributing in a positive way to this forum and will now be closed.

I am starting a new thread about Jeremy Lin's role on the team. I am hopeful that anyone who participates chooses to elevate their contributions.
