Damn, Willie Cauley Stein with 8 blocks halfway through the 2nd half tonight. I've been following him a bit. He might be someone we could nab with a mid to late first...maybe a little insurance for Len.

In any case, this guy is definitely a rim protector and disruptive on defense.

When Nerlens Noel had 8 blocks last year, everyone seemed to talk about it. It will be interesting if it kind of flies under the radar here because of all the freshmen people are focusing on..

Here is the boxscore for their game tonight..

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=400505525

I'd be happy if we could end up with James Young and Willie Cauley Stein in this draft.

I'd think also we will be looking for some insurance at the 5.... That kid from Michigan, McGary is one to watch too. looks like the perfect fit for what we have going on.

I think we draft a 5 and a 1 .... and a euro.

What about 3 and 4, Frank? This draft is stacked with forwards and we need more talent there.

Draft a 1? With Dragic and Bledsoe wouldn't that be a bit crowed.

I really hope McD target Mcgary - he has to be one of my favorite players in college bball right now.

I'm also a big fan of his teammate Glenn Robinson.

Additionally, I hope we take a look at Montrezl Harrell - the dude has a little Amare in him.

Thats what I was alluding to with the play of PJ and the MoBros. We did need talent there.... still do I guess but their quality play has been unexpected. Seems like we will need a back up PG as shown when Bled and Dragic were out. Not impressed with Smith. And the jury is still out on Len. As mentioned somewhere, he may not pan out even healthy.

Probably, true to form, McDo will take the BPAs and continue to stock the cupboards with assets. PGs and Cs are always sought after though.

It will be interesting to see how the Michigan guys do against AZ's D on Saturday.

We probably ought to target a John Henson type. Big (for position), athletic, skilled, but on a team with other players who dominate the ball so he goes somewhat unnoticed. Does Poythress fit that bill? Not sure.

I think we can get him with the Pacer pick, according to most draft boards.

Id be all for Glen little dog Robinson if the suns end up in the back end of the lottery. Seems like the kind of talent that could be a better pro than college player. Mcgary scares me a little but I'd be ok with him in the end of the 1st. I'm not sure if he's big enough to play c or athletic enough to guard 4s.

Ashley is one of the best kept secrets in the NCAA. I thought he was going to be good last year and this year he's really starting to show more confidence. Let everyone keep the spotlight on Gordon (who I think is overrated) and let Brandon stick around in Tucson for another year or two.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I think Gordon is Marion 2.0 just an elite athlete that's raw but doesn't everything Shawn did. Ashley is more smooth and coordinated. I'll tell you what, if Ashley comes back for another year he could go top-5 in 2015.

I agree with you on both players. Gordon always seems to try and do more than he's capable of. He doesn't have a good outside shot but he is always hanging around the 3 point line and I always get nervous when he handles the ball to try and make plays. I've never seen Ashley do more than what he can, but I always see him improving his game. He's developed better ball-handling skills, a better outside shot and is always fighting for rebounds in the post. I hope he stays all 4 year at U of A. Same goes for Zeus - who I must say has one of the best looking midrange jump shots of any college big but you don't see it in games because he's working in the post, like he should be.

Yeah, I don't know if Gordon is overrated, but there does seem to be so many eyes on the big freshmen class so many people may tune in just to see him. Unfortunately, if they do, and they are paying attention, they will see just how good Ashley is too. Hard to stay under the radar though when you are the #1 team in the nation, only if it's only for a little while.

What made me write that about Ashley though, is when I saw him shoot a short range shot and realizing it was short, he was already up for the rebound and put back. Kind of a human pogo stick like Marion used to do. He also has worked on his 3 pt shot, which was pretty non existent last year. I think he could probably play three in the nba.

If he does come out, it might be a good thing for the Suns, since their picks will likely be in the late teens and 20s.

For the Cats sake, I hope Zeus and Ash stay there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they both came out. Hopefully at least one of those guys stays along with Nick Johnson, but whatever happens, I think recruiting is only going to get easier for the Cats.

Gordon looks like a more athletic Derrick Williams in a way. I ddon't thinkhe will be a super stud or anything like that but a solid player

Kentucky tumbled to 19 in the rankings. Same thing that happened last year (started #1 based on incoming freshmen class, and then slowly tumbled down the rankings). It's about time they stop ranking teams #1 solely based on recruiting classes.
