As sporadically as Biyombo come in & out of the game, and how often he's been getting to the free throw line, combined with how his shot blocking may lead to transition offense, I want to believe BK-Ref that his offensive rating could be that high. It's just a small sample size, therefore we cannot run with it as such

Come on, man....

Do you understand how awesome an offensive rating of 119 (it is up to 119 now) is!?

How can we then score 92, 90 and 86 points in the three games where Biz played 30+ minutes?! Games in which, according to bk-ref, we had a pace of 82, 96 and 90.

According to their own damn stats we scored 90 points against the Cavs on a pace of 96 possessions per game, while with Biz's rating of 119 we should be around 120 points in these damn games!?

How the **** can this be true? We aren't even close to a 100 points in most games and don't tell me that whenever Biz hits the floor we go for fabulous scoring spurts.

This is simple math.

Please, man, don't leave me hanging... Do you acknowledge that the facts mentioned above don't make sense?

Every player in the league is simply seven points per possession on offense off of Biz? Is that right?

If I trusted NBA.com, I would believe that playing Ben Gordon 30 minutes a night would be the difference between winning .750 and just under .500 like they are now with him only playing about 15 minutes a game since he's the biggest difference maker according to their advanced stats

For **** sakes....

He had an OffRtg of 97.9 and DefRTG of 113.3 last year, per nba.com. Only Mullens had a worse Net Rating. Are you happy now?

According to nba.com, we were only the 6th worse defense in the league whenever Gordon was off the court.

The same damn stats that found their way to our board which proved that Gordon was the worst player in the league last year probably were taken from nba.com.

Please, oh please, don't make me find mine comment about Gordon's offrtg and defrtg being untrustworthy just because of the small sample size. I don't remember in which thread I broke it down. I **** went through play-by-plays and wasted a solid 20 minutes to write that comment.

I acknowledge that it doesn't make sense, but I feel the same way about the NBA.com defensive ratings that made Luis Scola & Chase Budinger look like average defenders

Because they are **** average defenders!!!!! It's not like Scola's 101.9 is anything to be proud about and it's not unbelievable that a team's defense suffers when their bench hits the floor. God almighty....

Either way, those BK-Ref stats are a **** reach. And you can't even call that. There are 30 points that are just missing somewhere according to Biz's offensive rating.

How big of a stretch is that Scola and Budinger have a DefRTG of 102 while playing for a good organization and alongside two decent defenders in Lowry and Dalembert (your own assessment)? They were over .500 and the whole team is 17th in DefRTG.

Can you really not believe that you might be a bit wrong? I can imagine that you would expect them having a defrtg of 105, per example. Okay, you're three points off. Is it that big of a difference?

One more thing - starters on teams that are over .500 just don't have a DefRTG of 105. Then they wouldn't be a .500 team in the first place.

I refuse to give in the initial moral of the story that Omer Asik is reasonably worth two 1st rounders. I'm going to have to do my NBA.com research on his effect

I refuse to give in the initial moral of the story that Omer Asik is reasonably worth two 1st rounders.

I never said he was worth the two picks though.

But, god, this is funny (and frustrating at the same time, I have to admit). All of this started because of my use of the word "ignorant".

He's not a premier defender but I'll stand by my words - a guy who averages a double double and plays good defense ("good".. can you give me that one? good defense) is very valuable.

I never said that he wasn't a "good" defender. I stated that I wouldn't necessarily call him a "anchor"

It appears that we both went running from one statement to the next just for the sake of arguing basketball

...and just like 'catch20two' earlier, I find it laughable that Morey is asking for two 1st rounders + the right to swap a future 1st rounder,

...for Asik?!?

Nice to see us involved in yearly trade talks again.

This might also be a tact by Morey, knowing that teams aren't going to actually take the bait and trade for him, but it shows Asik, how 'valuable' they see him. IMO, this is just an attempt to flatter Asik and make him want to stay
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

Ben Gordon really is the worst active player in the NBA. I don't see anything wrong with sitting him the entire season and never letting him see the floor.

I don't like Ben Gordon but his offense has helped us the last couple of games.

Yes, he's cost us defensively but you know what you're going to get and sometimes we desperately need offence

Ben Gordon is the new Tyrus Thomas. The high paid player that doesn't live up to it so his every mistake get multiplied times a thousand. If we trade for Perkins it will become him.

If Walker doesn't pick up his shooting in the next 15 games or so Im going to start pitching some trade ideas over him. So try not to send me any death threats if I do, please.

I would definitely trade Walker for the right offer.

I can't see us getting a good offer though.

Would have gotten a good offer last year, but this year thats a big negative. I find it appalling how he can get himself so open and not hit a 15 footer.

Goran Dragic ,Isaiah Thomas .Mike Conley and Jrue Holiday are some PG's i'd probably consider trading Kemba for if they also give a pick
