See him becoming an Allstar.

If that happens, then you can write up any sig for me and I will rock it for a lifetime. No way in hell will he be the best player from this draft. Maybe if he was taller and more athletic.

Peak Jameer is about the best he will get to, maybe a tad better. btw, that's not a knock on Burke, peak Jameer was pretty decent.

Well, when we went for the bigger PG last time, Deron, we passed on Paul because he was too small, well looks like size is not THAT critical. Stockton was also relatively small at 6'1" (inch taller). Stockton is one of the best defensive PGs in history, and he was just 6'1", so just because you're short doesn't mean you can't hang in this league. Burke is already very good, so I'm not concerned.

cp3 was also one of the more athletic guards before his injuries. burke is avg at best

Ok, my point is that one of the most important points in Utah's decisions was size in choosing Deron Williams over Paul. Burke may be no Tony Parker, but he definitely has some explosiveness and is able to score about as well as any other PG. You don't have to be mind boggling fast to score, and size is a bit overrated on the offensive end for PGs as they don't post up, they are perimeter players for the most part. All that said, Burke's primary task is playmaking, so we don't need him to be an elite scorer. Look at the video below and tell me if you think his size and athleticism is affecting him much:

he had a great game against rockets but i doubt he will finish like that consistently. he's a much better passer than i originally thought. i havent seen him play all that much but some of the passes were impressive.

btw going with dwillz wasnt even that bad. cp3 was obv better but dwill was no slouch in his utah days.

Please tell me one actual NBA player that Burke is capable of guarding.

He had a good game against Portland, another against the Kings, 13/9 against the Pacers, and another very good game vs Phoenix.

Oladipo with 26 pts, 5 rebs, 4 ast, 4 stl

Amazing that an undrafted rookie, Matthew Dellavedova is a better player than the #1 overall pick.

EDIT: And 3 blocks

Bennett had 6 points and 2 rebounds in 8 minutes, he doesn't get any playing time.

i thought Burke had a great defensive night tonight, Lawson finished with 0 points in 27 minutes, Nate Robinson 7 in 27 minutes. Burke played 37 minutes and managed to get 10 points on a terrible shooting night. Also, 10 assists to his stat line is awesome, he's playing really well for a stretch of games now. My only problem with him right now is his shooting % and shot selection.

Cannot believe the Bucks got Giannis at #15. Easily the most potential in this draft. I do understand other team's concerns about Giannis only really impressing against fairly poor competition overseas in a lower division league, but wow, he's a machine.

Surprised another team didn't take a gamble on him earlier in the draft. I know there's a whole bunch of teams who would regret that decision now! A 19 year old KD-lite who is still growing, now that's exciting.

Giannis and MCW would both be in my top 3 in a re-draft if held today (with Oladipo being the other player- and most likely number 1). That's very good picking by Philly at #11 and Milwaukee at #15.

Agreed. Seems like a good/funny kid too (Giannis).

Although I wish people would stop the KD thingy. He doesn't shoot many threes (or at a good clip as of yet) and KD's a generational shooter. Body type is the same, sure, but Giannis seems to be a great open floor / slasher / defensive player rather than a KD-lite. Not ruling out that he can't begin to become a good 3 point shooter though!

One of the best things about Giannis early on is his shot chart. He's taking the majority of his shots either at the hoop or behind the three point line.

I think Giannis has dunked in every game he played except one.

If I would redo the draft today (not looking at team fit):

1. Michael Carter Williams
2. Victor Oladipo
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo
4. Trey Burke
5. Ben McLemore
6. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
7. Steven Adams
8. Nerlens Noel
9. Alex Len
10. Cody Zeller
11. Kelly Olynik
12. Tony Snell
13. Tim Hardaway Jr.
14. Nate Wolters
15. Shane Larkin
16. Mason Plumlee
17. Rudy Gobert
18. Gorgui Deng

Rest have been awful (Bennet), Porter is hard to rank because he hasn't played extensively or I don't know enough/haven't played enough for me to be able to rank them.
