Nah, Walls defense was pretty good today. Wall forced Teague to 4-11 shooting tonight.

Walls offense was atrocious though--and I think you can very much blame coaching these last few nights. One single free throw, one well drawn play wins it, and Witt has simply been completely incapable.

I honestly want the entire Flip regime gone--his son, Sam, Witt, everyone. Those guys are losers. Its proven in their track record and we shouldn't be settling for mediocrity like we are. Obviously you have to blame Leonsis for being gunshy, but man.

We prolly would have won had Wall's hangover dissipated earlier :/ If he's really all in for the playoffs, may want to take it easy with hosting parties...

I'm really not sure how long some of you guys are gonna keep defending Wittman? When was the last time he drew up a game winning play? I refuse to believe that he draws out plays, but John decides to go iso. The last possession was Pop-like. The inbound passer had a CLEAR lane to lob a pass...WTF??!!!

Oh for sure Wall is to blame, but I'm getting beyond tired of both Nene and Gortat not taking the foul line jumpshots. If Gortat doesn't hesitate and get swatted at the end of regulation we probably win.

Sure. If Ves shot 1 of 2 missed FT we would win, if JWall didn't made a lot of tournovers or too many bricks we could win, If... etc.

I can agree with one thing some1 should tell Gortat to shoot even if He miss it happens but all P&R with Gortat passing I don't like at all.

In 1.8 seconds?

I don't know about that Nate.

Gotten position before the ball was inbounded.

I can't believe this is an issue. Blame Wittman for sitting Gortat? Sure. But you don't blame him for sitting Jan freaking Vesley in crunch time when Booker was having a career night.

I agree with you. I'm not blaming Wittman.

I was just disagreeing with you on that one point.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

36 minutes is 10 and 16 That is solid production in anyones book.

Anyway, going small ball to defend the last play was stupid. Should have had Gortat on the inbound and Ves under the basket. Booker had a great rebounding and offensive game, but he is short and not known for his defense.

Game on Ted. Time to fire some people. Shake things up. This is getting old.

Anybody can say "should have done B" when A didn't work. I wish once just once you would pass on the 20-20 hindsight.

As to Booker, he had a great game period. Not "a great rebounding and offensive game" but an altogether great game. When a guy is on the floor you get *all* of what he does, every bit of it. Would Vesely have gotten that last bucket Booker got? You sure you would have had Booker in the game to make it?

Pretty simple, really: Wall played badly, and we lost. It's not Wittman's fault. We don't have enough good players.

That said, the Wizards played with tremendous heart tonight, and they very nearly beat a better team on their home court. I feel for our guys; they must be emotionally drained.

The Hawks are a bad team imo, they can be over five hundred all they want--I'm not hating, but they are a bad team. We're absolutely underachieving even with these injuries and someone needs to get canned for it.

I dont truly agree with everyone continuing to say that. Obviously he's big but pretty much everytime Nene is hurt, we have otehr guys hurt also. Like I think we win tonight if we have Beal. Last 2 games weve had no Beal or Webster. People keep acting like its just Nene. Book had 24 & 12. Truthfully, if Wall plays decent earlier then we win

Make that 24 and 14 not 12 -- and hey we win if we make one more FT in regulation (we went 11-18 -- awful).

they basically (the starters) played **** for 3 quarters, sans booker...I think the sting should make for a good effort. I hope Wall was looking ahead to his matchup tomorrow. Teague is a great PG, gotta take advantage of his superiority for 4 full quarters though!

I love what we got from Booker though. I still like this team moving forward once it gets healthy, but this team is like a fragile tower. I'd feel A LOT more confident if we had a REAL backup pg :/

Well, that injury-prone 31-year-old is a pretty damn good player.

He was once. You think he's having a good season? No. Not even close. He's averaging 7.6 boards every 40 minutes, and his Offensive rebounds are down worse than Defensive.

The outstanding TS% he used to post in his prime has also leaked away.

Nene is a shell of the player he once was. Fortunately we've got him locked up for this season and two more years after that.

It is on Witt. How many games have we lost when we had the lead in the las minute? What kind of plays is he drawing up? Wall should not be n that position unless the play is attack the basket and dish if its not there. I don't understand how we call time outs and run nothing resembling an offense. His coaching has cost us 2-3 wins this year

I'm not a fan of Wittman at all but I'm also aware he's not the biggest problem we have.

We have other issues for sure, but its a problem if your coach is incapable of drawing up offensive plays in the final minute of a game.

We don't have the personnel to run a play that would be more efficient than iso-ing wall.

LoL.. Can't believe I watched that whole game on tape to see them choke away that win after battling back from 15 down.. Just unbelievable how inept that team is.. As soon as they had that 2 point lead with under a minute, they all turned into little girls on prom night. Scared to death to just win the damn game..

And how many times do they need to see Wall throw up a brick at the buzzer to learn a new dance? I mean come on, does he ever make that shot? Run a play for god sake.. Him wasting 10 seconds at half court to dribble to the key and throw up a prayer every time has got to be getting old for the team -and- coach, no? Even if they fail, try **** something different once a month, damn.. 2 more night of free NBA, can't **** wait.. Not!

Cudos to the bench for not being afraid to play with out Nene in the lineup..
